From trying to do a no damage run of The Conductor myself I can say that Gellot got EXTREMELY LUCKY during that fight. During phase 2, every 8 beats she can perform a variety of actions, one of which includes spawning a miniboss and I've had a time where she just unleashed 3 RED DRAGONS on before I even had a chance land a hit on the first one that she spawns and Gellot over here didn't get any miniboss spawns the whole fight. Some of her other actions every 8 beats includes spawning minions and sometimes the screen just becomes a cluttered mess of enemies which can be handled with a couple of lightning arcs, unless there's one battery left and you're stuck on the other side of the screen, but that's mostly my fault if that happens to me.

Well, each phase does have 10 HP, and seeing as there are 4 phases, Frankensteinway's health is 40, the most out of ANY character in the game, not to mention on phases 2-4, he gains a shield that has to be deactivated. But only on phase 4, does Frankensteinway's charge attack break his shield.

Immortality sucks mostly if you're the only one to have it, because then you're just gonna outlive all your friends and family. That goes double if it goes with an added catch. Vampires for instance have to drink blood and stick to shadows. I for one wouldn't want that kind of immortality.

Since it's a Nocturna-specific semifinal boss, it makes sense for there to be so much to deal with, since her cutlass allows here to nullify almost any damage, and her bat form lets her kill more quickly, plus she can fly.

Can barely watch it straight with my head rocking back and forth so much. Damn that rythm... gotta follow...

I love this game. Everything about it is simply brilliant

the franken steinway looked the most tiring also the OST for fortissimole was the best for me every boss has patterns

yeah frankensteinway does seem tedious, 10 hearts which is 1 more than some other boss I forgot about but the main point is you've got 4 health bars to eat through

Hi, I'm a well experienced NecroDancer player who ended up here through vid-zapping. May I ask why Nocturna has a Titanium Cutlass (instead of a normal one) on Conductor? Because that makes a huge difference in the fight TBH.

I remapped my diagonal inputs to Up+ZL Up+ZR Down+ZL Down+ZR Actual down+left inputs where too inconsistent on a controller

sometimes but most bosses for me at least are relatively easy with just the regular dagger or the upgraded dagger. All in the vanilla game are pretty easy with the base weapon minus the final boss for Aria and for me at least necromancer II. I can never get him right with melody.

Judging by the fact she was unwittingly turned into a vampire, and the ending cutscene where she sees herself as a human again when looking in the broken mirror, she might believe that she can use the lute’s power to become human again. Except the lute slowly corrupts whoever uses it, and her eyes turn golden when she stops and looks at it. I think that’s implying that the Golden Lute is influencing her mind so that she keeps it instead of destroying it.

So what's the point of her transformation. I played as her a bit myself. So far the bat form deals almost no damage , grants immunity to ground traps and water tiles. Otherwise she automatically turns when reaching 1 heart.

The bat form is essentially a blood dagger that heals every 5 hits instead of ten, thats why everyone is listing varying damage

It's all serious like and then suddenly... *KING K O N G A* You know, I completely forgot that you turned into a vampire and was really confused at that second cutscene.

I quite like the recent bosses added a few days ago, Frankensteinway and The Conductor are possibly the hardest (and best) bosses in the game. I like them, but I have yet to beat The Conductor, I haven't managed it in practice mode and doing it normally takes too much time for me to have been bothered repeatedly trying.

Double power. Weapon forms change the attack patern, weapon qualities add effect. Titatium: 2 damages. Some people here took this for a boss rush (done with 1st weapon: iron cutlass) but the character and equipment change, it's a (good) compilation.

It makes me wonder what Nocturna did with the Lute. She probably wants to be brought back to life, but as the non-DLC story shows, that... probably won't work out so well. ...New boss for a sequel? :3c

i really like the theme they came up for the coral riff boss

Just came across this video. Heard of this game and interested in playing, but haven't. Incidentally, anyone else agree that Frankenstainway was their most memorable boss? Deep Blues' threat mostly came from the chess pieces he summoned; the boss himself wasn't much. King Conga is the same, even worse. The next three bosses didn't seem to have much threatening you; Death Metal didn't have much besides his fireballs, and had unpleasant SFX to boot (absolutely lethal in a rhythm game), while Coral Riff and Fortissimole didn't seem to do anything to hurt you. Plus, what the heck was going on with you digging out behind the stage in Fortissimole's fight? The Conductor didn't really impress me, either; don't know why, mostly because I was wondering how the heck you were destroying those batteries. Frankensteinway, on the other hand? Just about everything about that battle is brilliant. The music's flawless, the boss doesn't hide behind goons, there isn't a beat to waste dodging or attacking with all those sparks and the boss charging everywhere, the boss itself looks cool, and it's great overall.

I agree with you on Death Metal, Deep Blues, and Coral Riff. However, the added complexity with the King Conga fight is that you HAVE to stop on those blank beats, which admittedly sounds simple, but is really difficult in practice. If you don't stop then King Conga comes after you, and that's where the hearts come into play. If you flub enough times that you kill him then you're fine, but if you can kill his conga lines then he himself is easy. As for Fortissimole, I haven't played his fight yet, but it seems to me as though this guy cheesed the hell out of it. The enemy that was chasing him looks like a goblin (moves on every beat and only chases you when your back's turned) which would explain the digging. It looks to me as though the player realized that if he did exactly that pattern then the mole would always pop up, and he would be easy to kill. If he hadn't then the boss fight would've been more interesting.
