Note the correctly placed velcro straps for his Pig shoulder pads. When they are placed cleare of the stock Crye shoulder strap coveres they permit the e-doff function of the quick release shoulder straps to be retained. I went with the Qore Aero shoulder pads, and had to do some trial and error to get e-doff to still work. Thanks for introducing me to the S&S Precision pull tabs since they are much easier to feel with gloved hands than the stock Cordura ones on the AVS front flap. That was one of two complaints I have about my MOS Tactical cummerbund with First Spear Tubes that I got for my JPC 2.0. The paracord they attached to the release tabs of the tubes system is terminated with Cordura instead of tubular heat shrink wrap like Firstspear uses.

I've watched your AVS unboxing vid awhile ago and you said that your previous JPC was a medium one compared to it. How's the medium one fit to you? Is it extremely wobbly or is it tolerable? I've checked crye's sizes and I noticed that the chest measurement for small is a good fit but the length is a bit shorter for me

If you don't mind me asking, what's your height/build? I'm a smallish guy (169cm/5'6.5" and pretty slim) who bought a Medium JPC 2.0, and it's alllllmost too big for me. Thankfully it does fit, but I've always been curious as to whether a Small would've done me better.

When you’re buying plate carriers, remember that they’re sized to a SAPI/ESAPI plate and not to your shirt size, for example. To figure out what size of plate you need, measure from one nipple to the other, then feel around your sternum for a notch and measure from that notch to your belly button. You can then find your corresponding size from these measurements. And when you wear the carrier, make sure you can touch the top of the plate with your chin when you look down. It may not be the most comfortable, but that placement is to ensure your vital organs are covered. Just make sure the cummerbund is snug. You should be able to jump up and down without the plates shifting at all. I can say from personal experience that catching a plate to the lower lip when you’re running with a rifle is *not* fun.

I am in the same boat and have your build and height...not sure which is better. I’m leaning a medium as that would fit bigger plates, not sure if that’s preferred vs a very fitted small sized JPC...any feedback most appreciated.

@@vg247 Update on my end: bought a Small sized Crye AirLite SPC, which is basically the same cut as a JPC. It definitely fits me better. A lot less overhang off the bottom.. by that I mean a Medium JPC with Medium SAPI-cut plates tended to extend too far past my diaphragm and made it a little uncomfortable to bend at the waist. Small SPC with small SAPI-cut plates is definitely serving me a lot better. Be advised though, the plates are a very very tight fit.. even more so than the notoriously tight fit of the JPC. Good luck
