I guess it's an okay game, I watched jacksepticeye play it, and in his playthrough he's like "has cry played this game? if he hasn't he probably will" and boom cry has a video posted about it. Although I disagree with the character's lifestyles and views on things. They just aren't the type of people I associate with or agree with in real life. But aside from some odd dialogue I'll agree its an okay game, but as with everything could be improved

JustlnCase It's a game about a teenage girl dealing with cringworthy amount of dumb fake, hilarious teenage drama. She somehow gets time reversing powers (which means even the developers saw how boring this was without some 'hook' attached) she uses said powers to up her social status so she can be "totally in" aside with unnecessary scenes and idiotic stereotypes, well the game ain't necessarily sending any positive messages about itself. It's a good concept on a bland characters and overused internet threads and tropes like "hipster" I almost threw up this is so stupid.

I just realized that since Max can take anything with her in time, she could've taken a picture of Nathan with the gun. The noise from the camera would've scared him and made him shoot, but then Max could rewind after taking the pic and then set off the alarm, thus retaining the pic from an alternate timeline as evidence for the principal.

the thing that I really love about watching cry is that he doesn't talk during cut scenes, so that the audience can listen to what the characters have to say

I've been waiting for this one for a while. I saw poods play it, but his attitude sort of ruined the immersion of it. Cry tends to take games like this more seriously so I'm excited to see how this goes. Have a good one, Cry.

You perfectly summed it up! I remember seeming really interested in this game when Pewds played it, but Pewds just didn't help me get immersed into it. I don't think he did a bad job at all, Cry is just so much more chill and I think this game seemingly needs someone who's more chill. When someone is busy asking 'why do people splash water on their faces?' or stuff like 'why would you fall asleep in the middle of a storm?', it just reaallly doesn't do it for me personally.

Why just say he was waving a gun around by himself? Why not tell him he was threatening students with it? Perhaps photo evidence might have fucking helped. She can reverse time, she could set things up to make the camera take a photo at the right time without even being in the room! This is why these kinds of games irritate the fuck out of me.

I love the way Cry does playthroughs. Almost everyone else I watch talks over everything, but Cry just let's everything happen, adding in his two cents every now and then. It's so calming, and I absolutely love it!

I enjoy how he doesn't talk during dialogue of the characters so we actually know what they are saying and he doesn't say " Guys, I am really excited to play this game, I have gotten so many suggestions" and stuff like that really enjoy it.

I wish Cry had narrated my high school experience.

I love this game. I just played it myself. Honestly, it reminds me of a Quantic Dream game more than any Telltale game. I thought I was playing Beyond: Two Souls a couple of times. The dialogue is a bit stereotypical but it is only the first episode. There are four more coming, if I remember correctly so it will probably improve. Since it is a story rich game I am sure the characters evolve and develop more adult characteristics, even though it only takes place for a couple of days. It also has a dark Donnie Darko influence as well that I cannot seem to put my finger on where I see it. Glad you are giving it a try!

Yeah so far this does remind me of Beyond: Two Souls with the rewinding and all that stuff. And I know its only the first episode, but the characters, lets take Victoria for example, is just so,2 dimensional? I mean it's obvious of what the creators intentions are and how they want us to hate her and all, but that makes me dislike the obvious intent, not the character. From this I'm really hoping we get more into depth with the character as well as the others and protagonist. The inner monologue admittedly got on my nerves for a little bit, but if it's meant to imply of her insecurities and her anxiety, which I would appreciate because it is certainly important to acknowledge the inner and external battles kids and teens experience everyday, it's forgivable. We're just going to have to see if its going further be a distraction, but hopefully not. Also you guys in the comment section, I know there's going to be some criticism about the monologues and all that other stuff, so before you make your FINAL judgement on this, we can keep discussing, just wait til the very end before coming to any conclusions about the game.

Vokoca You should give this a try :) I do agree with the 1st comment about it having Beyond Two Souls vibe, especially the inner monologue.

I've played and watched Dodger and Pewds play this already, but I always knew that you where the one to play it, it just feels right when you do it, even if others have already. I loved the idea of the game. The choose your own adventure, the time save scumming thingy, the free to explore "world", and even the photography bonus collecting aspect and topics of lecture and some comments they make about it, being a photographer myself, it's kind of cute to see in a game. But I do have to accept the fact that the writing-not so much the writing exactly- but the general feel of the actors+lines+characters. The only one I really enjoyed LISTENING was Chloe, great voice actress choice.

I can understand why people who havn´t played this game and who has only watched youtubers play think it´s a bad game. Yes the writing is a bit bad at times and some of the things are too rushed in my opinion. Like the first time you leave the school building it all happens too fast. A lot of people I have watched play miss a lot of stuff because they think they have to follow the objective right away. BUT I made a point to play this game before watching anyone do, and I enjoy EVERY bit. I love this game and it´s story. So please people play it before you watch it. It is not like walking dead. There are so many choices you can make and stuff you can miss that make the story so much better. You will see in the end when Cry finishes it. And that reminds me, hey Cry, please try to explore as much as possible it makes the game so much better! Just touch everything you see :p And have fun in Life is strange :)

Without exploring a few scenes will feel not as hard hitting as it did for me with exploring. TheSilverwing999 This is my first view to this game. I... I can't relate. In high school/college, I was always the ambitious, "I'll work my ass off for my dreams and be proud of my work" type of person. I've never really doubt myself when it comes to the things I love most. So I can't relate to her that well. But, I love time paradoxes, so the story does interest me a lot... It's the writing and the character design that just... makes me sad. Because I really, really want to like this game.

I've seen Gronkh (German Let's Player) playing this and I'm really excited for this playthroug with you. I'm sure it's gonna be awesome!

Ohja, ich liebe es wie Cry die Spiele spielt und kommentiert. Er nimmt es ernst, aber albert auch rum. Er respektiert das Spiel und intressiert sich für die Geschichte und Figuren der Handlung. Ich finde vielen LPlern fehlt das heutzutage... Wobei ich Gronkhs Art auch sehr gern hab. Er kommentiert einfach so geil :D

The thing I love about Cry's videos are that theyre usually at least half an hour long, because I love longer videos. Nothing like spending a day watching Cry when you have nothing to do.

Really looking forward to the rest of this play through. It's always interesting to see how someone who's already gone through this stage of life react to a game that's based around it. Everyone seems to react differently, it's cool.

I knew Cry would eventually come around to this game, and I'm so happy he did. I tried watching 3 other youtubers play this but their attitudes were just not cutting it for me. So I decided I would just wait for Cry to do it since I knew he wouldn't disappoint. And I was right! Thanks Cry!

Am I the only one who gets mad at her for shaking her Polaroid pictures? I mean if she is such a photo geek then she should know not to do that because the chemicals will smear You take the picture and set it down to develop on its own

You technically can still be going through puberty at 18, but I feel that at some point you started thinking of Max as much younger. The way she talks doesn't help much to be fair.

+Brobuscus115 Cry was who the fuck I was talking to. I apologize for not referring to him by name while commenting on a video he himself put out. And John Smith is correct, she does say she's 18 in her journal. She also says it in her profile, and states this fact a couple times in this video, and throughout the rest of this game. Crazy weather out there, so try to have a nice day.

This is game I watched and immediately thought no one is going to have a real deep connection with the characters and take the time to enjoy the fine details like cry will.

I love Cry's choice of music at the end of his videos. It's always cool. The music someone listens to says things about them, so it makes me more curious as to what kind of music he listens to most often.

Glad to see Cry playing this. This game bothers me for multiple reasons but I can watch Cry play it. I watched Pewds do it first but Pewds....I don't know why he plays these kinds of games. He clearly isn't into it and doesn't have the patience for them. Immediately he was irritated with this game and stopped trying and it just made it impossible to enjoy. I can foresee Pewdiepie dropping this the way he dropped The Cat Lady (an awesome game and his dislike for it made me lose respect for Pewds' taste). That's why I go to Cry for these games. He isn't trying to be zany and he always gives games a chance, does everything in them he can and takes his time to immerse himself. I think it's something you need to do for this game and something Pewds handwaves. I definitely plan on only watching Cry play episode 2. BUT....this game annoys the crap out of me. This kind of behavior is stereotypical and unrealistic even for high school, but I can guarantee that NO 18 YEAR OLD WOULD EVER SPEAK LIKE THIS. I don't know who wrote this dialogue but half the things these kids say with all seriousness were literally jokes. Things that nobody ever said seriously. It's like some middle-aged or older writers listened to some younger people talking to each other in the most ridiculous way they could and assumed that it was normal for the younger generation to talk that way. It's most certainly not, and it ruins the game and makes the main character unbearable. Though Pewds annoyed me in his playthrough, I had to agree with him all the times he got irritated with Max and her whining about things that....really just weren't that bad. That and, as others have pointed out, they weren't careful enough to make sure there were no plotholes. With Max's power, she could have done much more than she did. She could have quickly snapped a photo of Nathan and then rewound. As the game says, the rewinding doesn't affect Max or any items she's holding. Then she could pull the fire alarm again and have picture evidence to bring not to the principle, but to the POLICE. And then later on she uses her powers for the dumbest thing and just...urgh. I'm writing a novel here. I'm done.

i'm not saying the game is flawless, but i think it's important to see things from Max's point of view. she just got this ability (or at least she just realized she has it) so she probably isn't thinking too complexly about what she can do with it. she's trying to make sure what's happening is real while trying to save someone's life- that's a lot of pressure. hopefully she'll be more creative as the story progresses and she gets used to her power, but i don't think it's fair to judge at this point.

Are you from California? actually where I'm from (including arcadia which is Oregon) we all talk like this. This game captured the hipster and artsy vibe that's in San Francisco Bay area and arcadia very well. I know a lot of people that talk like this in the game and it actually got me deeper into it : -).

I actually really enjoyed this game, I mean yea dialogue could use some work but it is enjoyable.

The inner monologue and the way the choices are implemented actually reminds me of Indigo Prophecy. And I loved that game. So all's good!

Loving this game, and super stoked to hear Champions at the end of it. Made me smile.

THANK YOU CRY i have watched other youtubers play this and fumble around like fools either not reading the things the game tells you or not using the power to its potential but from the little i have seen you play of this you are doing SO much better then the others before you. thank you for not doing stupid things. also i saw you rushed by the bathroom part if you did not see it told you that you retain items in your inventory whilst traversing time.
