Crux Motorsports Jeep Grand Cherokee Tail Light 20% Dark Smoke Tint Kit Install (2014-2020)

Well finally after messing up the vinyl on my first attempt, the guys over at Crux Motorsports were great and sent me out a second package of vinyl for the Jeep! Big shoutout to them. Overall the install isn't too bad if it's not a windy day and the temperatures aren't too low. The install on this video for my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude was at around 65 degrees, sunny, with very minor wind which made the install go somewhat smoothly. If you have no experience installing vinyl like me you might have some creases / not get it perfect but from afar you can't even really notice.

Thanks I just intalled the center piece and I also go the brake light and bottom reflectors. I went with the 50% dark for a more muted look but I didnt want to totally back out the back of my Jeep. Super easy to install. Just a tip but I lined up the start of the piece starting in the middle and worked my way out just keeping the vinyl tight and working with my thumb up and down the decal until getting to the end makes is easy to pull back and mistakes and I had hardly any issues, no air bubble no wrinkles. worked with all of the installs. I don't have a heat gun so I just used a hair dryer and the squeegee to really smooth the edges. Love your vids BTW. I just bought a 2021 JGC 80th anniversary and I am in the process of putting on mods myself.

Depending on if I keep these since i'm not sure I like how they came out I might grab the full tail light tint kit I saw in another video earlier. We'll see though lol

Did you ever take a video or pic of the taillights at night and also how bright the brake lights are with the 20% dark smoke tint when it’s dark outside?
I’ve got the same kit, waiting till it’s a bit warmer to install on my stormtrooper GC as well. Honestly...I think I may do the edges and leave the center un-tinted. I think that looks pretty clean!

question, why do you have combination plates? isnt that for larger vehicles like 18 wheelers and such?
It’s like a tinted window film. You’re supposed to mix the dish soap in the water
Any chance you remember what color outer ring you chose? Satin, gloss, matte, etc. love the look of yours

Is the third brake light still visible when applied with the tint on it? I did my brake lights and my reflectors but was hesitant on the third brake light because of visibility.

Dude that third brake light is attorney bullshit. That light has never prevented an accident. Unless the other 2 brake lights fail

What subwoofer do you have did the rubber license plate help reduce the rattle.

It’s the factory upgraded system with the 8” sub and amplified speakers. I haven’t heard any rattling since

I don't think so, with the windshield tint & only having aftermarket LED bulbs I don't want to go any darker!

Yup! It has the outer vinyl and tinted center pieces
just did mine. thing is dumb hard to get it just right. especially the center piece. lmao

@@BJPLIFESTYLE Nice thinking about getting my own. Have you tried changing the headlight Bulbs to LED? Biggest pain in the ass Jeep sucks for making it so complicated to change a simple light bulb.
