When that King started pullin', at around 8:15, I was thinkin' " maybe we're gonna need a bigger reel"!!! 😁 Brings back a lot of memories of fishing out of Leland, i the 80's! Tight lines!!

Can’t wait to go!🎣
well done video, Thanks for sharing
keep it up man. i was on my way out there and the boat died. Coasty had to rescue us. keep getting the big ones!!
Great Job
Awesome video! I can't wait to fish the big lakes. Why not cutting gills to bleed them out though?
What type of connections do you use on your copper setups? I heard those reels have smaller openings that barrel swivels may not fit through.

Hey Cody, what kind of reels and rods are you using for your setup? They look real nice. Wondered the brand and model.

Only showed one spoon which you caught a steelhead. I do not like watching fishing videos watching guys reeling in fish. Cannot subscribe to these videos .
Another great video! How long are your leaders behind your divers by chance? My dad is 76. He says 7 to 8 get is long enough. I rigged them to 18 feet. What do you recommend? Thank you.

I like to run around 10ft 12ft leads. Seems to work best for me!

To long behind the ball and your bait does not have the action it needs, to close and it moves to fast. I would listen to your father and adjust in Ruffer conditions. Pay attend to how far you tie the fly behind the dodger those are your adjustments along with depth and speed.
How have the salis x reels been holding up? Thinking of getting some for salmon fishing the Great Lakes. Do you run the 5000’s for coppers and big leadcores? And the 3000’s for downriggers?

@@CodyS thanks! I will! I’ve been told not to use such a high gear ratio for coppers and bigger lead cores. Do you find they are sufficient?

@@CodyS maybe you could do a video on them! Not much to be found on KZread about them for Great Lakes trolling

You should let go with the wilds when they don’t have their fins clip let those ones go we want to see them self breeding in the lakes again on their own and let the population flourish. Keep the hatchery fish.
