Does your mod work in the early start dates of Crusader Kings 3? Like say the 867 start date. Medieval 1212 units don't really fit that era. Thanks for your time!

Mah man! Glad to see you have finally discovered the glory of Crusader Wars! Nothing beats seeing your beast of a character actually mow down a formation of levy spearmen while surrounded by his faithful knights.

Wow, it's a dream come true, it has the best of both games and makes perhaps the perfect RTS that we have all been asking for for many years. =O

The fact people have added this, AND another mod that does the same but uses Bannerlord battles, is so insanely cool.

There's actually a patch for Fallen Eagle already! It's in the launcher by default, and uses Fall of the Eagles in Attila for the units. And there's also one for Dawnless Days/Realms in Exile for LOTR, but that one needs some extra steps, and is basically its own submod. Also not really mentioned in the video, but earlier start dates are also available. CW uses Anno Domini instead of MK1212 for anything before 1066

This level of modding is incredible. I’m completely mind blown!

Absolutely amazing. Some people really just went out there and did it. This project, if delivered successfully, is most gamers' dream!

Modders are frigging unreal nowadays. I have been enjoying a sim-level mod for mechwarrior 5 and blown away by the efforts over there now I see what is going on over here in TW/CK3 land and wow just wow. What a time to be gaming.

You don't have to fight every battle manually!

Standard setting is to only fight battles that your character is commanding personally. Even then you can just let the battles play out in the usual way.

Tried this with The Fallen Eagle for ck3 and it was amazingly immersive at first but with my pc and the amount of mods I run , it takes 5-10 minutes to boot up ck3 means fighting a proper war (not just battles) would take FOREVER .

I don't even play Paradox games. I'm only getting into Attila right now, but this is pretty insane just at the tech level...

If the modders succeed in making it more seamless , I will be buying Crusader Kings 3. Not saying Crusader Kings otherwise isn't worth buying but I know myself, solely campaigning and no real-time battles would end my campaign after one or two sessions. Maybe this is an idea for CA, an agreement between two compagnies which would allow them to outsource the difficult sand-box campaign and it would fit their current desire to combine games, they could go all the way and add in some city builder as well. I was obviously joking, but I wouldn't object to idea if they actually did decide to combine Total War and Crusader Kings though. That said, even if both companies see the light and realize the huge amount of extra buyers (and gamer credit) this would get them, I'would like to salute the makers of these (and other) mods for doing such incredible work. Seriously, you guys are awesome and are quite frankly CA's best and unfortunately least appreciated asset, because you guys have grown and sustained the people's enjoyment of their games in ways that most could never even have imagined a few years ago.

Thank you for the introduction. One question though: TIME. Battles in unmoded CK3 map are resolved over time, when one troop is engaged in a battle, other troops are moving around the map allowing troop movement and strategy of your army as a whole. I suppose the manual battle cost no time, is it right? I mean the mod is a great innovation, but mhy concern is game balance.

Perfectly legal yes as it uses a standalone game for the mechanics. You have to own both.

Please explain do a need both games or just ck 3.

Ok to people who have played this before how does it run? Does it have many issues? I would love to try this out but if it’s super buggy or crashes a lot I may wait till it gets ironed and out more

I’m still waiting for the custom campaign map in the next MK1212 update, if the dev team is still alive though…

It's a good idea. But is there a PC out there that can run 120 battles and not burn your pc? Show us you can do a campaign and not have a file corruption

I've played 180 hours with this mod and fought numerous battles. I have a powerful PC, but not overly so. For reference, when there were more than 15,000 per army the lag would be too much. So, I'd just let the bigger battles resolve automatically in CKIII style. Or if it was a really important must win battle, I would let the battle resolve until there were less than 30,000 units in total, pause rhe game and then hit the battle button.

we had maybe 3 reports of corrupted saves that may or may not have been caused by CW. I personally never had any problems.

Its in mods like this that I lament not having a good pc😢😢

So I take it the title is reversed? Since it is CK3 battles being played in Total War and not the opposite as said in the title?

Would that not make CK3 *OOOMEGALUL EASY* ?

I thought you can already play using the fallen eagle mod?

interesting mod, but requires too much manipulation, loading, saving, relaunching.. it just isnt practical for me.. I like the idea though. It's great it exists for those who absolutely want it.
