Toxicpot76 I get the jokes making fun of dnas appearance but at this point, as a regular battle rap watcher ive seen and heard them all and it really isn't that funny any more. Everyone in the crowd laughin so hard at the simplest shit and I was just here like "........" And the thing is, that was like his one and only angle, telling jokes. So its easy for someone who doesny find your jokes funny especially when you're only doing what EVERYONE who's faced Dna has done to just see your bars as meh. Thats how I saw crugers bars, meh. Dna came with more intensity. He was comfortable even though he knew the crowd wasnt in his favor.. and when you compare the bars, its easy to see that bar for bar, dna took it.

His punches are a bit stronger, but if Cruger's rounds were longer then I might be edging this to Cruger. I feel Cruger did better against Con, but again he had more content. DNA 3-0 but no bodybag

Finally some reasoning. Cru was on to something, youtube is saturated with DNA battles and his style is more than a little played out. Maybe if Cruger worked that angle a little more, brought some more bars like that shit about the Villun Battle, he'd have it. But he didn't, not quite. His rounds were too short, some of his bars were too corny. DNA on the other hand - pretty standard performance on his end. The thing is, standard DNA is still a threat. He's got rebuttals, schemes and presence. Cruger should have been writing harder.

James Buchanan I couldn't have said that any better lol. I totally agree with you. Your last two sentences hit the nail hard on its head. Cruger should have focused more on his writing because history proves that he had some of the best puns and damaging angles in the game. Hopefully Crugers practices a bit more. But standard DNA is the reason why he will be in battle rap's history books in the future, he reminds me of Murda Mook but with rebuttals and without the hardcore gangster image.

Don't flop is reaaally trying to compete with kotd, should be an interesting rivalry. Regardless, its dope for the fans. More sick battles on two different fronts.

They should use the panoramic view when there's a big reaction, so instead on just showing certain reactions you can see the full thing, liked what they did with the editing. I think DNA took this.

cruger's first good line was his 1st round closer. other rounds he improved but dna was bringing much more to the table

The style of battle is all in what you like. Example eminem is no nas but both are power houses. For me cruger got him because even though he was telling jokes the puch lines were more frequent.

Going into this battle I was thinking Cruger is too good of a writer for DNA and that DNA would have to win with rebuttals. Overall I think DNA had really good rounds, better than I expected. Hard to say who won. They were both entertaining though.

These guys both go hard but as someone who’s watched literally hundreds of battles, cruger is the most entertaining with the most relevant bars…every New York rapper sounds the same. That being said, DNA came in hard.

This always a good battle to come back to. This was a big moment for DNA at the time. IMO the only debatable rd is the first. That was DNA’s lightest rd and Cruger’s best. But DNA edged it. The 2nd & 3rd I feel like DNA clearly won those. The 3rd was his best and most entertaining because his first 8-10 bars of freestyle rebuttal was GODTIER level, for the time. Cruger had an awesome performance as well. Can’t take away what he brought to the battle. It just wasn’t enough. The way dna was punching him with those particular angles and approach was very different. Nowadays almost all these new rappers emulate that approach. It doesn’t work for most but they try. DNA is the father to a lot of these niggas.
