Yessss bring that knowledge to the public bebe So many people don’t understand Cruelty Free is an industry term and not just a random description that synonymously means vegan too! Just like “humanely raised” animals are not exactly humane because they’re killed in the end.

ELF's liquid eyeliner, and all of these 3 dollar mascara are PERFECT. My absolute favorites. They are inexpensive and very great products!

I hate the term "Cruelty Free" because a company can oppose animal testing, but use ingredients derived from abused and exploited (and sometimes murdered) animals. Which is not what I would call Cruelty Free. I understand that in the industry the term has a specific definition but it's not accurate imo.

Remi right? Very misleading and it’s understandable that people get confused. I think cruelty free and vegan needs to be synonymous.

So, it means there is still animal derivate with slaughtering animal in cruelty free product? Thank you sist

Thanks for clearing this up! I went cruelty free, but I don’t necessarily look out for vegan. Sometimes I feel like I should start, but then again, I feel like going cruelty free was already a big step for me! I commend you for doing both! Ps- I love what you said about leaving comments in a positive way. I get comments about products I use not be vegan. It’s such a bummer when you feel like you’re making a step in the right direction and then you get negativity. Great video girlie!

It hurts me as a bunny mom to think about these poor babies being abused like this simply because of vanity. Thankfully there are so many companies now that aren’t doing that sh*t any longer.

Thanks for making this video. I became vegan last year and was really confused when I read cruelty free or vegan on beauty products. It’s saddening to see that our country is so business based. It’s all about making money and companies will do whatever they can to make money. :( Can’t wait to watch more of your videos! You’re awesome and an inspiration !!

I'm a vegan and still have some non-vegan items. I agree that it's important for someone to approach a vegan with that concern considerately. Chances are they already know that product is not vegan.

Amazing video, you explained this so well and it's definitely easy to understand for someone who is interested. And I love it that you are not afraid of showing those pictures, they are terrible but the suffering of those animals makes people to go cruelty free. Thank you for doing videos about cruelty free and vegan beauty!

Hey Hannah! Thank you thank you for doing a video on this! It truly meant a lot to me. And those pics made me so sad. Make up companies I feel needs so much more awareness as far as vegan and cruelty free information. Emailing companies I think is such a huge start in bringing that to the forefront. So with that said your amazing and such a good source of information for me! Keep it up! Xo

Kara Felden thank you Kara! I agree! I really believe in the power of asking for what you want. At the end of the day many companies want to make the consumer happy, so what better way to make that happen than to tell them directly! 💗

Have you tried Glossier (glossier.com)? I’ve been used them since before going vegan and after I switched I was so happy to see they label their vegan products on their website (most are vegan!) - but I would love for you to try it and give your option on there products vs your faves - I recently purchased Tarte Shape Tape Concealer after watching your video but was using Glossier previously... also their face wash (Milky Jelly) is my fave cleanser right now! Takes makeup off like a dream

I just found out about this recently and it gave me so much anxiety. I’ve been vegan for several years now but never even thought about personal care and hygiene products having animals in them. Now I am trying to find vegan products. I found your videos that way and they’re very helpful. Do you know any antibacterial hand soap though? I have ocd where I need it to actually say antibacterial on the soap and it’s hard finding one that says both vegan and antibacterial.

Hi Hannah! I’m a 14 year-old ethical vegan from Australia. When I found out about the cruelty towards animals in both the food and clothing industries, I thought I’d have to sacrifice my love for fashion and beauty products. Then I found The Vegan View and your channel! I love your style and you are such an inspiration to all those in pursuit of a cruelty-free lifestyle. Thankyou. is my favourite vegan, cruelty-free and palm oil-free company who donates all profits to global poverty. Thank you so much for your videos! ❤️ (I’m currently saving up for a Matt and Nat bag!)

But how do you feel about cruelty free brands that some products are vegan but not all of them, like Too faced is cruelty free and has some vegan products. Do you buy from them? Or you just buy cruelty free-vegan brands? Because I don't see vegans using this brands so idk

  • @HannahWeseloh

Isabelle personally I do use too faced! I use the vegan products. Too faced does have a parent company that is not cruelty free but they are cruelty free and are going to maintain that. They are big animal lovers, donate regularly to best friends animal society, and from what I’ve heard are working hard to get the parent company to become cruelty free too. I love that. I have a video on the parent company issue linked in the bio, and feel like everyone needs to make their own decision. 💗

Hannah Hagler Hi! Thank u for answering. So yeah. I watched that video and I actually have the same opnions as you do. In fact I asked this because I love the Belif moisturizer. Belif is a cruelty free brand, not vegan but I saw that the moisturizer that I like it is . Do you know anything about that?
