They are not really mindless husks, the Foundation and the MTF units know full well what they are doing, and based on the lore, the Foundation is actually right in the end, as they figured out that every single thing that makes us human, weather it be pain attachment, hatred or love it’s all the byproduct of a being that has control over humanity, something that has something planned that is a far worse fate than death.

The foundation's motto really changed from, "we die in the dark so you can live in the light" to, "You die in the dark, so we can live in the light"

So basically, after Project PNEUMA, which like went into the human mind/psychospace thingie i think, they found an entity that was so dangerous, the foundation realized they had to exterminate the human race if they want to survive. So they released all the SCPS and sent MTF, yadadadada. I think thats the basic idea, though you can expand on the entity idea, which is the main point I think

The foundation did it for humanity. They discovered something inside every living human, and that something is so horrible that they consider death as the better solution. The foundation members on the other while, are stripped away from what makes them human as they no longer feel pain and possibly emotion. So the motto is probably "we die in the dark, so you may die in the light"

Because pretty much any time the antichrist appears in the media, he's always, without fail, the most sensible man in the room. I want a game for SCP 5000, specifically just the Ganzir defense, it could have a tagline like "You don't stand a chance, make them pay for it.", and it is a super hard shooter game that constantly pressures you with random attacks, from some zombie deployment, heavily armed MTF teams, direct SCP deployment, some kind of Paratech weapon bombardments, conventional nuclear bombs being carried on foot through the Ganzir's missile defenses.

I remember a short story, this song reminds me of that, the short story consisted of a leader of the city of ganzia being proud of the army watching the forces defend it. The SCP Foundation believed they were going to crush ganzir but what they didn't realize is the city would be teleported to a different dimension, none of the soldiers that were defending it could know, if they knew, they might relax in a moment of "your too late to stop me I already defended the city" and give up and relax, or worse be tortured abd give up the information in weakness and then the foundation would know what the game was. For a moment imagine you are a soldier defending Ganzir, your family exists within the anomalous walls, the last city of humanity, and SCP brings out a blinding light that burns out your eyes this is a sense of pain so horrific it doesn't just damage your body physically, but psychologically, being blinded hurts your soul, but yet that soldier fires his gun still in the direction he hears the enemy at, why, because he cares, it's for humanity, this is why one of the leaders of gansia in this short story was so proud, the men who could continue fighting with combat knives when they ran out of bullets, the men who continues to fire when their arms were ripped off, how far would you go for your loved ones or your fellow soldiers in the last defensive humanity, no matter how much your body or your soul hurt, how far could you really go, it's a good moral question. I don't know for sure if the short story I'm referencing was just a KZread comment or published on a website, please either send it to me. If nothing else though, in reference to that short story, this video might go on my workout playlist, because imagining myself on the front line as one of the soldiers defending humanity, a pretty fucking big testosterone boost, I will absolutely keep shooting no matter how much pain I'm in, for those I care for, if it comes down to the combat combat knife, so be it, and hell I hear the lizard likes a good fight, and if I win with a martial art bo staff against the lizard who the fuck is going to question my claim that hard work over time can genuinely make a master martial artist no matter how low your natural talent is, massive huge "if" sure but "if" I survive that encounter, who's going to argue my wish is for filled. Step forward the man to argue this song when you have read that short story is a bad workout theme to imagine you make your last and for the city, step forward and I shall points to you a liar. Would you be the soldier at the battle of Ganzia who just take one shot to the leg and submit, would you be the soldier who lost his eyes and an arm keep going or be less?

What's funny to think about is that at this point, in terms of experience and fighting expertise, the foundation units are INCREDIBLY outmatched when compared to the last remaining defenders of Humankind. The remaining soldiers of Humanity would have faced countless anomalies, Foundation units and what have you, all while working with inferior technology and little to no prior training when it came to the paranormal; say for the G.O.C perhaps. Yeah sure, the MTF are trained specifically to go against the paranormal and perhaps even maybe have had a few encounters with paranormal entities, but never on a large scale like this! Never on a scale so vast such as the siege of fucking Ganzir! Never on a world-war like scale such as this! Suffice to say, the remaining soldiers of the Human population (excluding the Foundation dogs) oughta' have been some stone-cold, resourceful, bad-ass motherfuckers, having had dealt with so much bullshit for years and years and survived it all. To the point that I can believe a singular UNGOC soldier being able to hold off a detachment of Foundation troopers to the point that they had to whip out a damn rocket launcher and human wave tactics to put him down. God the voicelines are fantastic too; You can really tell that he doesn't give a shit. Bro Thought: "Whelp, this is it. Might as well go out with a bang amirite?."

Ganzir was the final bastion of humanity and it fell because the GOC made the mistake of finding out the truth and lowering the anti-anomalous shield that protected the city, dooming their last bastion.

This was an absolute work of art, dude. It's criminal that this hasn't been viewed more.

You should check out the SCP 5K game on PC. As far as my understanding goes for the plot, the scientists that were crucial for the downfall of Ganzir are eliminated by the Anti Foundation Alliance and Ganzir still stands strong. The game is still in Alpha Testing but it's pretty good imo. The next update comes out next month on the 12th.

I feel like after Ganzir the foundation would be back peddling because everything they had at Ganzir either was killed or failed to do anything, and the other organizations may be able to push against the foundation, not like they are going to beat them like it is nothing though. The Foundation would likely fall but the chaos they created would either still destroy the world in another way or the Anti-Foundation collation could fight them back and use 2000 to repopulate the planet after the Foundation's defeat. This wouldn't be a clean victory as every organization is either completely destroyed pre 2000 or are no where near full power.

SO underrated, great work, awesome Wojak, and a hellishly chilling atmosphere.

Depends on the cannon you believe in. If it was 2718 they discover they are absolutely correct. Because it’s not just the suffering of those alive now, it’s the suffering every human who is and will ever be born. Ending humanity was the ONLY way to end the suffering of all dead humans, past or present or future. Yet, one man slipped past, carrying something that wasn’t round. For their failure, all of humanity, past present and future will pay. Wilson wasn’t a hero, he was an unknowing pawn for the entity. It won.

​​@breadstick4458 This always seemed like a ridiculous idea, or alternatively, if it's true, then the Foundation is still evil. They're not helping anybody but themselves. They severed themselves from humanity and then tried to force every other person on the planet to experience that hell immediately. They aren't trying to save anybody. They're doing it out of spite for the entity, not out of any attempt to "help" anybody. There's not even any reason to believe that getting rid of the supposed entity would help anybody who is already experiencing that afterlife. All the Foundation did is become just as evil as the entity by murdering everybody. Not to mention that it also seems to go against the original SCP-2714, which was an infohazard that caused that afterlife for anybody who believed in it, not just for everybody everywhere, always. It also assumes that we're only understandably human because of the entity, which just doesn't really make sense. Ultimately, I feel like the idea that it was 2714 just takes away from the quality of the story as it was originally intended. There isn't supposed to be an explanation that we can understand. You shouldn't try to explain the inexplicable. It makes it far less interesting. The story is, in my opinion, much better if you don't know what the Foundation is so scared of rather than trying to shoehorn another SCP in as the explanation.

I honestly think you would make a decent strategy game out of this. It has it's high points and low points, but as time passes, you know full well that the come is slowly being dire enough to see Ganzir fall to it's doom. The commander does everything they can do to keep this defense to the bitter end. One-by-one, your forces just ad-hoc mix-matches trying to keep one more day going.

Yo imagine if they made like, anything other than these types of videos on the Battle of Ganzir? Like id even take a documentary on this. So interesting.

Maybe it's related to the SCP that's a cognitohazard, about death being a continuation of suffering, that your consciousness will continue to feel the pain of all the matter that makes you, until the end of time. Maybe the solution, in this scenario, is to never live in the first place. I'm not saying that's the case exactly or even remotely close, but the general idea of finally discovering what lies after death to be far worse than we could have EVER imagined, would be a horrifying notion, and would be enough to warrant a response like this from the SCP Foundation.

Tbh being in ganzir would be absolutely terrifying, there would be death and destruction everywhere every second, helicopters and planes falling out of the sky like meteors, tanks constantly shooting or blowing up, explosions everywhere. Imagine yelling at your buddy to call in a Cas-evac only to see a grenade by his feet….. it would be terrifying. (Also rlly good work on the vid bro, it’s awesome)

@@richthofen255 I actually have a suggestion (before you say it will take a while im aware, youtube videos generally are annoying to edit), maybe you could dancing in the moonlight (by toploader) but you’re a police officer during the early events of scp 5000 (as in when the foundation first started their rampage), or something like that. You dont need to, its just a suggestion.

The only reason why Ganzir had fell was because of something unknown which acted a superweapon and some guy telling the "truth". If the UNGOC was able to defend longer or even indefinitely, then all or majority of the foundation's resources would be drained and they would have to retreat. Tbh I don't mind having a painful death, as long as "IT" does nothing else but give us emotions and pain then I'm fine with that.

Apparently the anomaly is what happens after death, which is torturous. It was deemed so bad that the foundation figured the most humane course of action was the extermination of humanity.
