2008 with three brand GM mode would have benefited from having a 65 man roster or so. Playing GM mode and only having 16 wrestlers or even less if you didn't unlock anybody is terrible to play

2006 or 2007 are the best games!

Svr 08 is the first wrestling game i ever played it's one of my favorite games of all time

SVR 2010 had the most out of date roster, but you can’t blame them. A month after release Sheamus (not in game) defeated Cena for the WWE champion, Drew McIntyre (not in game) would also win the intercontinental champion. & there were a bunch of other superstars that missed like the Heart Dynasty, & all of Nexus

SmackDown vs Raw 2007 has the second best roster of the SVR games but imo SVR 07 is the best SVR game. It’s just SVR 07 was missing Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, The Spirit Squad, Matt Striker, Rob Conway, Goldust, The Bashams, Victoria, Charlie Haas, Steven Richards, Rene Dupree, Animal, Tatanka, Paul London and Brian Kendrick, Funaki, Nunzio, Jamie Noble, Simon Dean, Val Venus, Eugene, The Gymini Twins, Orlando Jordon, Sylvain Grenier, Maria, Ashley, Krystal, Sharmell, and Stacy Keibler. They were all eligible to be in the game but weren’t

Also when WWE/THQ were releasing games around October/November time, the cut off point for releases, returns or debuts was April/May So when the game came out it was to reflect the roster on May the 1st of that year. So SmackDown vs Raw 2007 roster was who was on the roster from May 1st of 2006. So apart from Nunzio those names you mentioned were not eligible to be in SVR 07.

Good choice. Svr06 had enough tag teams to build from WGTT to Rey & RVD, Los Guerreros, Edge & Christian. Also i like the addition of some midcarders like Spike or Stevie. For me its a 10. good video buddy

Probably because they had already removed him from Day of Reckoning 2. His model in that game had even been revealed before launch, but they removed all references to him from marketing, and he was out of the game. His entrance animations, and moves are still in though.

@@InotziaCityArt DoR released earlier in the year, during the summer break, so they didn’t have to rush to get him out of SvR. Kenzo Suzuki made it in the final game though.

SVR 08 Was NOT TRASH. My mod disputes that!!

Loved 06. It was the first game out the smackdown series to have real life movements vs the pre set robotic animation of the first raw vs smackdown game

My favorite SVR was 06

Svr 2011 is possibly my favorite wwe game of all time either that or 2007 or 2k14

The tag team roster in 2008 is a disgrace. No London and Kendrick. No cade and Murdoch.

2006 and 2011 are the ones I played the most, not counting the original Smackdown games.

Svr09 was my first svr, its honestly underappreciated. Yeah sure there weren't too many things to do in it but it did introduce road to WrestleMania which is in my opinion, the best thing in a WWE game ever, and yes better than my gm mode.. overrated in my honest opinion. But svr07 and 2011 are without a doubt better and top 2.

2008 could've really used a stacked legends roster. 2007 had enough stars to not need the stacked legends roster, but 2008 wouldn't even let you have a full 3 show gm mode with the base roster

07 best roster 10 worst roster

If you were a wrestling fan only during the Monday Night Wars, then Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes The Pain were the best Smackdown games for you. Both games rosters were basically a combination of the biggest stars in WWE/WCW/ECW back in the late 90's early 2000's (plus Brock/Cena/Orton/Batista).

I love them all too much to choose a favourite, they defined my childhood

If 07 had Jeff Hardy, CM Punk and Jericho, it would’ve been the definitive roster

It’s just SVR 06 was missing Matt Hardy, Victoria, Hardcore Holly, Maven, Tomko, Rosey, Simon Dean, Johnny Nitro, Joey Mercury, Melina, Kenso Sasuki, Funaki, Nunzio, Billy Kidman, Val Venus, Viscera, Matt Morgan, Luther Reigns, Antonio, Romeo, Akio, Maria, Dawn Marie, Miss Jackie, and Hiroko. They were all eligible to be on the SVR 06 Roster but weren’t, Matt Hardy technically was eligible but because he originally got released in April of 2005, they scrubbed him off the game, but Matt Hardy would return just 3 months later in July of 2005.

@@WowSuchGaming2009 Like I said the cut off point was 1st of May, for releases, debuts or returns. It’s usually roughly 6 months give or take before the game came out would be the cut off point. So anyone who debuted or returned after the 1st of May of a given year wasn’t eligible to be in the game. With the game now being released in March now the cut off point would likely be the 1st of September.

06,07 generally my favorite. It was 11 and08 but they were really underwhelming I thought 11 coulda have been gm mode still especially with that roster. Adding ecw in 08 shudda been a game changer but not really

Only complaint I have about this video. Smackdown vs Raw 2007 is considered the greatest SVR in the franchise. Plus is one of the greastest wrestling games ever made.

Srv 2011 was great

The dark ages of SVR between SVR 08 and 09/LOWM. SVR 2008 did not include Paul London/Brian Kendrick, Hardcore Holly (only on DS) or Victoria and among others who were under contract with WWE, I don't know why they had to pay the price for the elimination of Chris Benoit. SVR 09 they removed many game modes just to put the boring career mode, they left it without legends to launch the crap of legend of Wrestlemania that they only did for the Seventh Generation but PS2 and PSP that are left without legends like The Rock or Stone Cold and a shitty ring side camera.

Not the worst game, but that roster was painful!

SmackDown vs Raw 2008 had an awful roster, so you couldn’t really use ECW in GM Mode properly. First off Hardcore Holly, Eddie Guerrero, Sgt Slaughter, and Jim Neidhart were all PSP/DS exclusives so you couldn’t have them on PS2, PS3 or XBox 360. Secondly Tommy Dreamer was ECW GM in the game so you couldn’t use him on GM Mode. Thirdly, Chris Benoit did what he did as he was eligible to be in the game but after what he did he was never going to be in the game. And finally all of these were eligible to be in the game but weren’t in Charlie Haas, Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, Rob Conway, Victoria, Matt Striker, Trinity, Dave Taylor, Funaki, Jamie Noble, Jimmy Wang Yang, Simon Dean, Scotty 2 Hotty, The Miz, Rene Dupree, Daivari, Paul London and Brian Kendrick, Shelton Benjamin, Super Crazy, Shannon Moore, RVD, Balls Mahoney, Kevin Thorn, Mike Knox, Nunzio, Steven Richards, Robbie and Rory Macalister, Val Venus, Armando Estrada, Santino, Deuce and Domino, Eugene, Hornswoggle, Brett and Brian Major, Boogeyman, Viscera, Sylvain Grenier, Jillian Hall, Maria, Sharmell, Cherry, Krystal, Brooke Adams, Layla, Ariel and Stephanie McMahon. SvR 2008 in its entirety is pretty bad. It’s gameplay is slow and limited, its roster it awful, it combined season and GM mode, and the season mode was terrible. The only good thing about that game is the ECW stuff.

@@acceptable1609 I actually liked SVR 08, it’s just the massive issue was it’s small roster. If everyone that was eligbale to be in the game (minus Benoit) was in the game that would’ve made SVR 08 on the same level as SVR 06 and 07 in a lot of people’s eyes. You could’ve made Mick Foley the ECW GM in SVR 08 and not Dreamer, that would’ve solved that issue as well.

Yeah keep repeating what everybody says like a parrot. SVR 08 was not bad at all. I have played nearly all wwf and wwe games till date. N64, Dreamcast, PS. You name them. SVR 2008 and Here Comes The Pain were peak Yukes and wrestling games. Gm mode was the best. Even better than 07. And if season mode got repetitive is because you dont have imagination or cant simulate/game at all. I know the video is about roster, but people keep bitching about the game as if game was trash. It doesnt cost money to create your own Kurt Angle or Chris Benoit. I made Brock Lesnar, RVD, Eddie Guerrero, Big Show.

06-07 and 11 are the best ones
