Crown jig for Fastcap best fence

We cut a lot of crown and I was looking for a better more efficient way to bed the crown. Crown stops are available but don’t offer as much support. Fastcap also has a crown stop but it has yet to make sense to me and I’m not into re learning how to bed crown..
So this was my remedy for the problem. The brackets are 13/16 poplar laminated together to give me the height and strength I needed. The sacrificial crown stop is just 1/2 mdf.
For you who own a best fence and do crown your going to love using this.

Fandamntastic! Here's a thought, instead of using the devil's wood/MDF what about using clear polycarb?

Great video! How’s the jig holding up? I have the same fastcap set up and i’m thinking of making one.

It held up great...the problem came when I purchased the Kizen miter fence. It has built in adjustable crown stops that are in the fence it’s self. It basically eliminated the need for my crown stop. While I used it though I did really like it.

@@toolman101476 Thanks I was looking at those as well but they are sold out into July. Is the Kizen better?

@@enhancehomeimprovementstoo1802 check out my Instagram Toolman101476. I show the Kizen fence... all it does is replace the existing Dewalt mitersaw fence. As to how good it is..... I can’t imagine using any other crown stop after this.... it’s really that good. I think I did a review on KZread about it but I’m not sure. If not I’m going to
