BookWerm, Mark Sheppard himself said there are no plans for him to return. screenrant.com/supernatural-mark-sheppard-leaving/ I know its so sad, but we must deal with it. I feel Mary is just filling Crowley's absence. Jack looks like he's a decent new addition though.

The problem with the song with Lucifer is that it only partly fits. The last part is a celebration of agreeing... Which wouldn't work for Lucifer and Sam. Whereas with Crowley, there's a lot of times when they joined forces and conquered, or at least he helped save them etc many times which can be used for that part.
