The VERY first move Shu Lien does in this fight shows just how dangerous she really is. She feints and nearly takes Jen's head off, but stops at the last second. She's literally saying, "I can kill you at any time, but I'm deliberately choosing not to to show you just how much of a rookie you really are without the Green Destiny."

Another thing that is crazy about this fight is that Michelle Yeoh (Shu Lien's actress) was actually either injured or sick during the fight, but she still wanted to do as much of it as she could. So every time it's a close up shot, its her, but in each of the overhang shots it's her stunt-double.

Throughout the entire fight, Shu Lien is holding back. She does not want to hurt or kill Jen. Even with the Green Destiny, Jen is barely able to hold her off.

The two hooked weapons Shu Lien uses are called Sword Breakers. The move she tried to pull when she had the Green Destiny trapped is exactly how they're supposed to be used.

correction.. Jen (the girl) never got trained by the dude Li Mu Bai lol .. the dude monk wanted to train her properly but she refused. Jen got trained by the secret martial scripts that Jade Fox her master could not fully understand since she didn’t know how to read and only went by the drawings.
