Crossroads (1986) Excerpt
Фильм және анимация
Talented young blues guitarist Eugene ‘Lightning Boy’ Martone (Ralph Macchio, The Karate Kid) is an artist in need of direction. A rebellious student at the famed Julliard School, his passion for Blues music is the driving force behind all that he does. Inspired to journey out of his comfort zone and discover more music, he sets out on a quest to recover legendary guitarist Robert Johnson's fabled "30th Song" of 1938, considered by many to be lost in the whispers of time.
His journey leads him to respected harmonica player Willie Brown (Blues legend Joe Seneca) who agrees to help only if he is busted out of his retirement home. Together they take a road trip across the vast American landscape from Memphis to Mississippi, exploring the rich history of Blues through the people and places that helped shape its sound.
Directed by Walter Hill (Streets of Fire), also starring Jami Gertz (The Lost Boys), renowned guitarist Steve Vai, and featuring a rocking soundtrack by Ry Cooder, Crossroads is a stirring tribute not only to a popular musical style but to many an American way of life.

Willie Brown was still trapped in the fifties mentally. In the eighties Greenville was famous for poverty.
Ralph Machio is revisiting his old roles. I’d love to see him reprise this role, as Lightning. He beat the devil at a young age, before he realized how serious it all is. Now as a middle aged man, he’s had a long road, and the devil would like to try to beat him again. The devil should be played by a cgi version of this dude, and the money should go to his estate, help out his family. Ralph would have given up on music, and embraced all kind of different religions to try to ward off the devil. He wrote a book in the 90s, and now in 2020, he just wants to be left alone, but now as the war between heaven and hell intensifies he can’t keep running forever.

MisterRlGHT OR Ralph takes a new young buck under his wing like Willie did for him. Now he’s the old man, and together they have to defeat the devil. - Update I can imagine a rap battle, or something. It could be good I just like the idea of seeing the old guy: Scratch, done in realistic CGI, reprise his role. Steve Vai can come back, as a broken devil dewd or something. There’s a lot they can do here. The kid could be a son he didn’t know he had, and ole Scratch is trying to destroy Ralph’s soul that way. He can’t take Ralph, so he goes after his son. Ralph has to find a son he didn’t know he had, and teach him everything he knows to prepare him for His challenge. This could be as creepy, and scary as the new Paranormal series or the grudge, or something.
