Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Welcome fellow Moto Travelers, thanks for stopping by!
Are you thinking of taking a motorcycle ride and crossing into Canada? If so, this video will help. In it you'll find tips on what you'll need when crossing the border and things that you should never bring.
In addition to the tips, you'll also come along on a fantastic motorcycle ride from Alexandria Bay, NY, along the St. Lawrence River, across the Ogdensburg-Prescott international bridge, and up to Ottawa for a cup of coffee.
The 1000 islands area and Canada are just amazing rides. Not really sport oriented, more just great leisurely cruises along straightaways though stunning vistas.
Enough talk, Let's Go Explore!

Just crossed over last year at Thousand Islands. No issues at all like this description. Was a bit more of a process getting back in to the US (Peace Bridge/Buffalo) than getting in to Canada. Interesting experience. Great video!

This was very helpful as I’ll be heading for a day ride to Montreal. We will be up in NH and NY in a couple weeks to hit all those areas.

I'm glad it helped, thanks for letting me know! Hopefully you can drive right through customs without much hassle.. I'll definitely be back to Canada EY, lots to explore up there. Beautiful country. And I have to go to the Moosehead tour sometime! Have fun!

Not a busy day - the customs officials are looking for something to do. You'll get a more 'intensive' scrutiny... Yah, you should expect you could be searched, especially when it's not busy. We're getting lots of contraband smuggled into Canada. Don't bring a gun is smart advice. Follow it...! Ottawa is not a large city. Mostly government, museums and several IT industries. It's a great tourist town, with lots of attractions. Hopefully you'll continue into the centre of Ottawa.

Man, strap that phone down! ....with my luck I'd lose it! Great videos (I've watched other of yours), nicely narrated. I'm a USCCA firearms instructor and couldn't agree more, do not even THINK about going into Canada with a firearm. A friend got caught in his vehicle with a handgun traveling from Minnesota to Alaska. It cost him just under $14,000 and he can never enter Canada again. It is hard for him because he lives in MN 1/2 the year and the other half in Alaska as he owns a seasonal business in Alaska. Editing question: Are you speaking as you ride or adding a voice-over in the editing process? Thanks!

Did he pay the fine? And what happens if you go back to the USA but don't pay the fine?

Strange you got held up at the border for as long as you did. Maybe it was a slow day and they wanted something to do. Anytime I have crossed it has been real quick both ways.

It was just the first day, didn't have an issue after this one. I researched a bit and I think they might do it if you've ever owned a firearm. In my research, it sounds as if there's an uptick in absent minded travelers leaving their firearms in their car while traveling into Canada. So, they add a little bit of scrutiny to people who've owned firearms. And I was the only one at the checkpoint early on a Sunday.

MotoTravelUSA yes that makes sense. They run into many people coming north that are unaware they cannot bring their handgun across the border. Some do in fact try to sneak them across which gets them in a whole world of trouble. Best is to admit you have one and they will just tell you to go store it somewhere and come back. Lie and they will take you and the gun into custody.

Just like in the US, any time you *can't* turn right on a red light there will be a sign indicating "NO RIGHT TURN ON RED"
