CROSSING ANDEAN PATAGONIA by Bicycle Trevelin to FUTALEUFU CHILE

Adventure on the Border Limit Crossing the Futaleufu River or
Challenging Borders in Andean Patagonia crossing the Rio Grande in the Province of Chubut after having followed Route 40 south through Texa to Perito Moreno.
Crossing the Border in Río Grande in Chile at the FDutaleufu international crossing changes Patagonia in its landscape and arid climate to a fertile Patagonia and a climate with more Humidity.
Crossing the Border to Chile changes Nature with a beautiful landscape along the most famous river in the world in water sports activities
I find at the Border what I came to look for in this Adventure of reaching Km 0 of Route 40
"Heading into the Unknown because I only knew how changing and drastic the different Patagonias such as Argentina and Chile were, passing Esquel. and being able to get to know X Region with the Futaleufú River, known worldwide for its sports activities
It is a unique experience knowing that what follows is riding a bicycle along the Austral Highway and knowing that it is all natural beauty from here on out.
The impressive landscapes found along the way, from the majestic mountains of the Andes to the crystalline rivers and lakes that adorn the region, ensure an adventure full of nature.
The adventurous and challenging curiosity of crossing the border through this international crossing would be sure of the change of poatagonia on the Argentine side that would only find wind and pampas.
My first experience was using electricity. Because in Chile they use two-round power outlets, so it is necessary to bring an adapter for that type of outlet.
The climate is extreme because you are crossing the Andes Mountains and the cold is more noticeable if it rains.
The gravel road is in very good condition but it seems to me that when it rains that situation changes in some sections of the route
Impressive nature: During the bicycle tour, you will enjoy impressive landscapes, such as the snow-capped peaks of the Andes, lush forests, and crystalline rivers that accompany you along the way.
Adventure and personal challenge: Crossing the border by bicycle is an adventure that involves a physical and mental challenge. Overcoming varied distances and terrain gives you a sense of personal achievement and allows you to connect with yourself and nature in a unique way.
Local culture: During the trip, you will have the opportunity to interact with local communities in both Argentina and Chile, allowing you to immerse yourself in the culture, traditions and gastronomy of the region. You will be able to meet friendly and hospitable people who will give you a warm welcome.
Sustainability and ecotourism: Traveling by bicycle is a sustainable and environmentally friendly way to explore the region. By reducing your carbon footprint and minimizing environmental impact, you contribute to the conservation of these beautiful landscapes for future generations.
Unforgettable Experiences: From camping under a starry sky to relaxing in natural hot springs, the trip offers a variety of experiences that will leave you with lasting memories. Each turn of the pedal will lead you to unique discoveries and moments that you will treasure forever.
In short, crossing the border from Trevelin to Futaleufú by bicycle is much more than a simple trip. It is an exciting adventure that allows you to explore natural beauty, challenge yourself, immerse yourself in local culture and create unforgettable memories.

Del lado argentino tienen represado el río desde la década del 70, para el aprovechamiento hidroeléctrico (complejo hidroelécrtico Futaleufu). Aún no lo han hecho del lado chileno
