If you want to make a reversible apron:
Start by sewing the two separate apron side seams and pockets. Then hem both.
Then place the aprons right sides together and sew every seam except the hem, neckline and strap ends.
Then Criss-Cross your straps lining them up against the neckline.
Then sew the neckline from the inside enclosing the straps.
Turn it out and you're done!

Thanks for the video - looking forward to making this!
I bought a fabric kit panel to make a similar one that has skeletal print on the front. Kudos for taking up sewing and drafting your own patterns. These days those of us who can sew are a very rare breed. At the very least, folks should be able sew buttons back on and do simple mending. The upside to sewing one's own clothes is that we don't look just like everyone else. 😊
BRILLIANT tip on how to "back-stick" ... I really like the pivot strategy instead! Cannot wait to use that tip.

Oh! Linen! Never-mind! 😜😘
Hello Lydia, thank you for this nice pattern. I would like to make reversible apron. I am a beginner and have one question: After I sew the entire front catching the straps do I still do the double fold as described in step 6:44 (folding the straps up and down and sewing around the full parameter)? Thank you. Petra

Sounds wonderful! no you don’t have to fold the neckline down if you’ve already caught the straps in the neckline. Technically you should’ve caught the straps in the neckline with a one and a quarter inch allowance to make it exactly like the intended finish but if it fits you well then it doesn’t matter. ☺️
I was hoping to line the apron so in effect it would be reversable. I wonder if you could give guidance on that please?

I really need this apron! And, I love the gingham plaid. What is the fabric? Did I miss the description? Are you doing another challenge before the end of the year? I soooo love them!

I told my friend I was into overlocking. He looked confused and asked, "So, do you have multiple locks on your doors?"
