You seem like a great guy! Super informative as I’m just now getting into air rifles to scratch my shooting itch now that ammo is so expensive. Thanks for the video pal!

Hey just letting you know you never have to clean your air rifle barrel. It's like seasoning a cast iron skillet the more LED you send down the barrel the better the pellet accuracy. The excess LED really helps it the form to the barrel. All air rifles are completely different from Powder burners. Air rifles are less maintenance. All you should do is maybe put a drop of silicone lube on the seals every once in while that's about it.

i took mine apart today using an impact driver took like few seconds. but mines was shooting like crap every possible way because the bolt that holding the barrel was loose and felt right off of course i didn't know that until i took it apart. i was going to call Crosman and send it in and was ordering new breach seal, which kind of odd for a few months old gun. it was leaking air because the breach seal didn't seal all the way because the barrel was loose and dangling and i didn't know that either until some comment on other F4 video how important that bolt is because its keep loosen it self over time. my gun was loud and no power at all. I tighten it back up and now i'm zeroed on stock scope which never happened before, powerful and quite like new again . and i also took apart the original scope like 10 times and they even sent me a new one. i'm glad i didn't give up on this gun and the original scope.

Thanks fella. I have chickens so don't shoot lead, did you try any H&N lead free wadcutters? They shoot well out of my other .177 but that is subsonic. Wondering if I'll have to get creative and tuck a bb behind the pellet to slow things down, assuming it doesn't jam. I've used cleaning plugs before as spacers but hard to be consistent. Maybe a drop of oil between a pellet and bb would work (and increase likelyhood of one shot drop). BBs are cheap.

How big of animals will the F4 Crosman kill?

  • @greg4161

I recently purchased an f4 and not getting very good accuracy even with very good scope. I noticed many various. 177 pellets don't fit snug in the breach. This unlike my gamo which shoots dime groups from 20 yards out. Anybody notice this? Or is my barrell a lemon?

I've killed feral cats, opossum, squirrel, raccoons and 2 groundhogs and a skunk with my .177 f4 using gamo red fire ....I have a 3x9x40 Simmons truplex scope on it...got the scope on sale at Dunham's before Christmas for $65... The setup hits golfball groups at 40-50 yds past that it loosens up to about 4-5 inch groups around the 70yd mark..haven't tried to shoot it any further
