Crocodile sighted near Yishun dam, public advised to stay clear

Singapore’s National Parks Board (NParks) has advised the public to stay clear of the waters near Yishun Dam and take safety precautions after an Estuarine crocodile was spotted in the waters nearby. READ MORE: str.sg/QUcH
A video posted on Facebook on July 8 showed the crocodile swimming near that location. This species of crocodile is reportedly the largest crocodile species in the world, and could potentially pose a safety risk to the public.
More information on crocodile sightings and public advisories can be found on NParks’ website.

Few year ago I saw a baby croc on a roadside grass patch near River Valley Road. Can't recall if it was during the rainy season but probably came up from a nearby drain after a storm.

Government won't care to eliminate them. Cos they are like otters and down rare birds in Singapore "eco-system" These crocodiles shall grow bigger and bigger, and will continue to breed and breed. Unless they eat anybody then government will step in someone or some kids ought to be eaten up then will people aware the seriousness of crocodiles should not be in our Singapore water. Already so many years ago Singapore sea and many swamps has crocodiles.

@@fidelcatsro6948 Jalat liao. Remember I saw a video in Malaysia one uncle and his son went fishing or something. End up his small son got eaten by the crocodile. But like I said these are like otters and those big "four legged lizard" , eagle, owl, part of the "eco system" government won't care to eliminate them, unless someone's kids got eaten. But not surprised their population shall increase that is for sure. Many years ago at Katong already saw one very big salt water crocodile. And many swamps in Singapore also has many crocodiles ALREADY.
