Crockpot Go Electric Lunchbox Review

This is such an awesome lunch box! It looks nice, is a great size, and is fairly lightweight. The cord storage on the bottom is neat and secure. It warms food up and keeps it warm even 1-2 hours after being unplugged. Or, it can be used to keep food cool for up to 3 hours. I've found it to be easy to clean since the stainless steel container and inner lid can be washed in the dishwasher. The outer lid and warming base need to be handwashed, but that's been easy too because I haven't had them get messy. The only thing that could make it better for me would be another insert or a divider to give it more flexibility to have different foods that don't mix well.
It would have been nice if some basic warming times were included, but the manual just says heat times will vary. It has a 3.5 cup capacity, and filled to the max line, I was able to warm up a 4 serving container of tomato soup in about 1 1/2 hours. A smaller size serving of shrimp pasta took only 30-40 minutes. I think these are reasonable times for a small slow cooker.
I recommend this lunch box if you work in an office and want to avoid putting plastic containers into the messy microwave, or are a person who wants to keep food hot or cold on the go. I think it would make a great gift too.
Note: I received this product for free for testing purposes, but opinions are my own.

The locking lid needs a redesign. It traps water after washing! When I shake the lid on its own, water comes out. This REALLY should have a been a single piece, not two pieces of plastic snapped together with no way of separating the two pieces. Is there a way to contact customer service?

I bought it at target yesterday. It was the last one on the shelf. I love it. I used it last night for lunch. It took about 30 minutes to warm up and I had tortilla soup! ☺️

As with most of these heating lunch boxes, if you plug the appliance in an hour or two before you plan to eat, your food will be ready when you are.

I just picked this up and noticed the locking lid is made up of two pieces of plastic that can trap water inside the lid. This makes for an unsanitary design. As far as I can tell there is no way to open up the locking lid to clean it.

The top is only meant so that it has a top side locking cover handle.

REVIEW🔥🔥🔥 We hate it. It made the food watery and the lid suctioned fast to the scalding hot cooking vessel all four times we used it. Now to be fair, this is a very large serving capacity (3 cups or so.) We filled it about half way each time with leftover portion for hubby's lunch. It's possible that because it wasn't super full, it caused excess moisture. It turned mashed potato and veg into soup, that's how wet the food was after 2 hours. 😳 No matter what we put in the unit, a good 2 tablespoons of water were in the bottom. Again, we may have had too much space left in the container. When we went to open the container, the exterior plastic lid sucked fast to the scalding hot food dish. We thought maybe this was because it was brand new. Each time, it required a butter knife to break the suction. Nothing like wrestling with a scalding hot container on your lunch break. Then you open it, and boiling condensation is dripping on you. If you try it, save the receipt for return just in case. I'm going back to the original lunch box warmer.. no issues, no sticking, no extra condensation, just a nice warm lunch ready when you are.
