Rinse the corned beef before cooking it. Too much salt if you don't. 😁 happy cooking

Made it this week… made Reuben sandwiches. 😋 Rye bread, thin sliced Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut with piled high corned beef!

This sounds delicious 🤤 and it’s exactly what I did with my leftovers.

I eat corned year round. Using the crockpot is the easiest way to cook it in my opinion.

Made this for the weekend, added carrots, garlic, salsa, beer, and then cabbage towards the end. No complaints, came out great.

Does anyone rinse, dry and cover with salt then wrap and let sit in fridge overnight, thats what I've been doing with chuck roast for slow cooking?

These flat cut corned beef cuts are already brined in the package so no need to add salt even if you rinse it off.

Point cut is garbage and only comes around this time of year cause people with no idea buy it for the price and to be festive. Use flat cut please.

If I didn’t put water in there the meat would have burned in a crockpot. You could add beer or stock

If you find a better grocer you may be able to find a brisket with closer to 20% solution instead of 35% solution. Is there a wegmans near you?

does it matter how much water you use?

The water is there so the bottom doesn’t burn. As long as you have enough to cover the bottom of the corned beef you should be good
