I was asked to make this video by a friend of mine. She got a Crock Pot Express Crock for Christmas and was a little worried to use it. She let me use her express pot (Not a sponsored video) to show you what it could do and also to prove to herself that it was save. Which it is and it is very easy to use.
Let me explain about this recipe. To tear it apart, the recipe when done in a slow cooker is really good. I think the Crock Pot express did a good job cooking, and the meat was tender, but the flavor that I was expecting was not there. Did it taste bad? No. It still was good. But the full flavor I expect from a slow cooked roast beef did not happen.
I stress this is a good recipe. I did like it and enjoyed it but I think the the cooker itself did not build the flavor. You can see my quick review of the cooker soon.
But I stand by the recipe.
If you do this in a slow cooker, try it over night. It is amazing.

Got an express pot for Christmas. I was fearful of using it as I have never cooked with pressure before. Your video took the fear out of using it. Today I made an amazing rump roast with veggies with your guidelines, with slight different ingredients. Roast just melted in my mouth. Flavors were amazing! Thank you.

I have one of these and love it. I wish people would not be so afraid of them. They have safety features built in that far surpasses the old stove top pressure cookers. As long as you follow the very simple directions, they are safe and make very flavorful and recipes. They can replace your slow cooker and your rice cooker.

Thank you for sharing. I just bought the gadget and seems a little intimidating but I’ve used it for fresh beans, bone broth, and my next attempt will be spare ribs. Will see. Please make more videos. The recipes that come with the pot are not too clear!!

Now seeing 25 pages of instructions and no recipes (only charts) thank goodness for your video. No appliance should be this complicated! (I’m sure it has to do with safety which I know are perfectly safe when directions are followed. Mom had a pressure cooker back in the 70’s and used it regularly so maybe I’ll learn too) Other videos were not streamlined enough. Heard you could put frozen meats in it but haven’t found any recipes for frozen yet in fact what I have found advise against it. So today after watching your video I defrosted in the microwave while gathering the other ingredients. Waiting for the finished product now. In the meanwhile, I have no extra space to store appliances or gadgets so am trying to make space to get this off the counter yet still have easy access. It was a Christmas present so we will graciously be giving it our best try to learn to use it. Thanks again for making this first attempt much easier! Love your kitchen too and looking forward to learning about other things on your channel!

I got the CPE instead of an Instant pot cause it's a trusted brand and it came with non-stop pot (IP's you have purchase separately). I wish CPE company or someone would come up with a cookbook for it. Thanks for your video. How long to cook 3pd pork roast w/taters,carrots?

Even for crockpot express, for roast beef use slow cook mode for 10 hrs instead after sear on a cast iron for best results, else it will dry out

Hi i need some advice if you will I’m super excited I just received a crock pot express as a birthday gift from my son ! I prepared a chicken dish to pressure cook. I turned the very wiggly valve to seal position but the pot was releasing so much steam out of the other valve right next to it that it could not build up enough pressure and remained in “heat” mode the whole 20 minutes Timer never did the countdown I’ve never used a pressure cooker before perhaps not I’m doing something wrong?

I thought the same...maybe it depends on how big.. I'm using a 3lb roast. I've seen tons of videos and I have mine in for 1 hr 30 mins. I'm new to this Crockpot multi use and I get confused with the valve, releasing pressure...some do it the 1st 15 mins after hitting pressure but then some just hit Meat/stew, cook it for however long and then release the pressure thing. So confusing. But the meat didn't look tender as he first started cutting....seemed like he edited the video so you couldn't see how hard it was lol but that's okay. The video helped me but I also watched other videos too!
