crocheting the viral strawberry cardigan (tutorial)
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
🍓🌿 hi!! here's a tutorial on how i made the strawberry cardigans i've been seeing all over instagram hehe :) i hope i filmed everything clearly but I'm sorry if some clips were out of focus! it's my first time filming this style of video.
IMPORTANT NOTES
a lot of people have had this issue where the sleeve ends up being too large; be careful where you end your rounds and do not do an extra dc in the foundation stitch of your chain 3 :) I found the second time around that it helps to start rows with a ch 2 instead of a ch 3.
MATERIALS I USED:
Lion Brand - Pound of Love Yarn
Craft Smart - Value Solid Yarn

1:57 to 3:10 ribbing ❗ Step 1 : chain as many you need for your wrist circumference Step 2 : skip 1 chain and sc; turning chain Step 3 : sc into the back loop; turning chain Step 4: reapeat until you're satisfied ^^ Step 5 : sew it up :)
If anyone is having a hard time keeping their cuffs even (or any other portion where you're working in the back loops only)- try crocheting through the front and back loops (so just a regular stitch) in the first and last chain in the row! This helps prevent the stitches from gaping and you can see more clearly the first/last stitch (especially if you're working with a difficult yarn) :)

Thank you for this! I'm working on my first cardigan. I was able to freehand the hood but didn't know how to start the rest. This was just what I needed.
Thanks for this free tutorial 🥺🥺 I’ve been looking for a crochet version and this was really simple to follow! Can’t wait to start on it ☺️
I made it with mushrooms instead of strawberries and it turned out super cute!! It was a bit big at the waist so I used elastic thread to make it fit better. I used about 350/400g of yarn and I am a size s. Hope it helps!
Loved it when she said that is the bare minimum yes it is . Stop spending your hard earned money on fast fashion , they don’t pay their employees and not good for environment too .

I'm rethinking if it was cute cause you sneezed so cute 🥲 The cardigan turned out so cute with the colours, after finishing my grandma's cardigan I'm making this ✨ The colours on the 200 dollar one popped, and yours made it soothing, suuuuper cute. @moonflowercovers
2 жыл бұрын
hi!! many people seem to have this problem and my only advice is to make sure you’re not increasing by accident at the end of your row! do not work another dc into the foundation stitch of your chain 3. at the end of your rows count the stitches to make sure it’s the same amount!
i love it! thank you so much!!!
personal edits: i used 8 stitches on the cuff, 29 rows, use 28 next time, and for first two rows of inc. i used 2 st one increase. for the body pieces i used 32 rows, for the sleeves i ended up inc. about halfway through bc it got too small
So beautiful 🤩
its so cute gosh darn :3

this video is really easy to understand! ❤️ i’m new in crocheting and i’m making this rn. i’m on the sleeves part and i just wanna ask if it’s normal to have increasing number of stitches each row as i continue starting from the 3rd row? it looks wider and almost v-shaped now that i’m on the 15th row

hi!! thank u so much :) someone else messaged me on ig with the same issue!! it’s not supposed to increase after the third row, you should have the same amount of stitches in each row after the third! if it helps, skip the last stitch before finishing your row. i only realized this issue after posting the video!!
