Yes it’s possible. You can add the number of chain at the beginning to make it bigger.

I live in US. Can i use 2.75 mm crochet hook instead. Or should i use 3.25 mm

I guess you missed out something for row 1. It should 22DC, (3DC), 21DC, (2DC). Total 48
