Yes, when you’re making the top of the flap and starting the round with a chain 1, then 2 sc into each of the 9 spaces, you don’t count the chain 1. You count from the sc only.

Thank you 😊- I meant when I'm making the middle part of the pouch: 36 DC + SC and a chain or 35 DC + SC and a chain?

@@nadjamarx ah that! Yes it is 35 dc + sc and a chain. The sc and a chain on top counts as 1 dc.

Would it be possible to make this bag a little bit bigger?? My chain 19 is smaller than I wanted. It’s about 4 1/2-5 inches wide. I could do it larger, but the adorable lacy part would be to small!!☹️
