Great tutorial! No annoying music or preface yapping, just a quiet voice giving clear directions--love it. I used cotton ribbon yarn. I found that using the same colored stitch markers really helped me keep track of where I was with the video. Once she started the thermal stitch section, I left the slip stitch marker in while doing the slip stitch--saved having to remove and put back. I did have to rip and restart while using trial and error to make it smaller (my version of practicing a new piano piece) but each time I got better and understood more.

I love how detailed the tutorial is and how the stitch gives the bag structure :)

Genuinly so happy there are actually tutorials that are aesthetic instead of those grannt-looking ones

remember!! some tutorials aren’t made for everyone, unfortunately this wasn’t made for me. still this can be helpful to many other people. to the others that don’t understand this tutorial, watch it again, and if you still don’t get it, find another, hopefully that one is more useful for you.

my favorite crochet tutorial

This is easy I am starting of with a happy mood

I think the most confusing part were the stitch markers. They were a bit excessive in my opinion. Other than that, the bag turned out super cool!

making one in turtle green! its turning out good except the the first row of thermal stitches turned out sloppy but I adjusted it.thinking out sewing in straps without the design at the top because it looks a bit too complicated.but for now im not even there lol so ye

i am literally so cinfused. when i tried to crochet the bag it kept getting wider and wider with the themalr stitches not higher, and i did EXACTLY how u did. and nobody else seem to have that problem....

You’re adding extra stitches on accident, a good way to bypass this, would be to count your stitches starting from the initial chain

Yo use un hilo 100% acrilico que compre en el bazar mas cercano que tengo, la aguja use la misma que la del video que ahora no me acuerdo cual era y en total use unos 140gr algo asi, fue una medeja y media. Segui todas las instrucciones tal cual, no cambie nada y me quedo igualito

Yes 26 will work fine but as shown in the video it's supposed to be 26 instead of 27 so should do 22 when she says 26

I need some tips. for some reason my chain at the beginning and the first row on top of it starts to swirl/ bend instead of staying straight. I tried making it tighter but that didn’t work and I tried to be looser but that also didn’t work.

The side where we make the slip stitch, it started becoming rounder and curving inward instead of going straight, why would that happen? Also how many thermal stitches should be in a single round?

A little hard to follow, some mistakes here and there, but overall fun pattern. I made mine in half double crochets and it gave me a nice size.

did this bag, mine is so small only my phone fits in bag idk why however in the tutorial looks a little bit big :(((

it could be the size of needle, type of yarn or how you make yours stitches (loose or tight). In the first row, you can make more than 30 chains or/and reapet the third row, maybe it help you.

I wrote 27 tallys on a piece of paper and just added a tally below that for each row I did

I really do love this bag but I hope it's more clear when it comes to how many sc should be in the row. there's a lot of mistakes you said in the video and yes you correct it but it makes the tutorial more complicated. I'm still thankful for this tutorial and maybe it's not for me, but I'll still try my best! Thank youu

the thermal stitch is there to give structure to the bag. so when u do it u only go into one loop of the chain( one chain looks like a V becuz of the two loops) and to make the bag look finished ( and add structure) we turn our work to use the other side of the V ( the second loop). tell me if u understand it and sorry for replying 4 months late, i doubt ur still facing this problem now lol

Length or width? If length, continue doing rows of thermal stitches until you get to your preferred height If width, make the foundation chain longer and instead of 26 stitchs, minus the amount of chains on your foundation chain by 4 For example if you're doing 50 chains, you would replace the 26 stiches she does with 46

It is just the first stitch of the new row (the one you slip stitched into) and the last stitch of the row (right before the slip stitch)

you can just do single crochet for as long strap as you want and sew it inside the sides of the bag (sorry for bad English)

It depends on the type of yarn you used. You need to comparing the size with the video and adjust (adding more rows or stiches) if necessary

For me it was real confusing and thats a shame because the bag is really cute
