Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Create your own plush stingray with me in this full step-by-step tutorial! This ray is super easy to make and comes together in just 45 minutes!
Want to make this stingray with a different yarn weight? Just follow the pattern as shown with the yarn weight of your choice! A ray made from this tutorial with #4/medium weight yarn will be 4 inches (10 cm) wide and 3.5 inches (9 cm) long.
You can find the written PDF for this little ray on my website here: www.theresascrochetshop.com/c...
The materials you will need to make this plush ray are:
#6/super bulky weight yarn*: blue or gray (20 yards needed) and white (15 yards needed)
5mm crochet hook
1 strand of black embroidery floss for the smile
a yarn needle
12mm black safety eyes
a tiny bit of polyester fiber fill stuffing
*For this video, I used Parfait Chunky yarn from Premier Yarns (affiliate link): premier-yarns.pxf.io/
The following stitches are used to make this ray: chain, single crochet, the increase stitch, and the slip stitch, abbreviated as follows:
ch - chain
sts - stitches
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch

I've made about ten of these little guys already! Friends keep telling me to make something different but I refuse! They're too cute! Thank you so much for this tutorial! 😁
I have crocheted for 45 years and have never heard of anyone turning after a chain row. Other than that your pattern is easy peasy to follow and turned out as cute as can be!!
I made this with velvet yarn and it's so stinking cute!!! I also tucked all of my tails in while I stitched the top and bottom together. SO fast! Loved it
I’m glad I found this tutorial! Using regular cotton yarn with a 3.0 hook size. Thank you for sharing this with us!❤

I’ve been crocheting for a week and managed to make this cute stingray in mint green. The hardest part for me is R1 and R2. I find it so fiddly, I’ve undone my yarn so many times, incredibly frustrating. Thank you for this video tutorial, the end result is very cute
Only crocheted once. Will do this now. Will give update. See you guys in 2 weeks 😂 for that’s how long it will take me to follow along this video to my crotcheting skills

same! I've recently taught myself the "normal" way in case it impacts some more unique stitches, but I still hold my yarn tension the way I always have. my chains are still the under version instead of yarn over.
I just learn how to crochet (literally 2 days ago) and i absolutely love this video !!! Really clear and easy to understand ! I will redo it for sure with bulky yarn when I will have it

Oh that's wonderful to hear! Thank you so much!
So I just started to learn crocheting (about 5 days ago) and I am almost done with my ray. I made my ray a big bigger (eyeballed the rows) and used felt yarn. To crochet both sides together i had to switch from an 8 mm hook to a smaller version (i used 3 mm cause thats the obly other one I have but 5mm should be enough). But your video was soooo helpful, thanks to you I can proudly say that I can crochet the basics (:
Thank you so much for this i love crocheting but have never managed to do any amigurumi til this video ! It was so clear to follow and I’m so excited to start other things now
I made it with a different yarn and a smaller crochet hook. It turned out the size of a keychain. I love it. ❤️

Just made this and it turned out so cute! I used yarn that was kinda between super bulky and jumbo, thicker then 6 but not as thick as 7, yarn bee in aqua marbled, 10mm hook and 15mm eyes. Final size was 12"x9" not including tail length. Its the perfect size for kids and incredibly adorable! Thanks for sharing this pattern
Great tutorial and pattern. My stingray turned out so stinkin cute. My granddaughter is going love it!
Learned to make this in about an hour and a half. It turned out really well. Even with me using acrylic yarn

Ohhh yay! That's wonderful! I hope you enjoy making them!
I love this design! I used a different type and size yarn and hook because it's all I had and it's so teeny, fits in the palm of my hand! I finished it and then had an idea, it worked! if you do the exact same steps as you do to make the tail on each corner of the head but only chain 3 it becomes a Manta Ray! Now I've got ideas on how to change a few parts of the pattern on the wings and or nose I think I could make it look like a southern ray, a cownose ray, and a spotted eagle ray hehe I love the original design as a cute sort of unspecified species of ray and Im going to be making a ton more in pretty colors but I think I'm also going to test my alterations with the colors the rays are in real life. Thank you for this tutorial it was super simple to follow! 🥰
Super adorable pattern that works up quickly. Thank you!💙☺

OMG that is adorable! And so simple to do! I did have to transcribe this to a word document because I don't like to be constantly at a computer while I crochet, but the time it took was worth it and I really enjoyed being able to see the work being done. I love the added visual instruction. Thank you so much for this video! ❤
Some notes after making one of these: you can add the tail during the closure process if you finish one side, chain 9 and slip stitch back and then continue the closure. You can also slip stitch across the 6 stitches at the top to begin the head in the 7th stitch instead of cutting and refastening your yarn. These 2 steps lead to less hassle and more stream lined process!
This is so sweet! I saw the video on Facebook reels and just knew I had to make him. Thank you for sharing, I shall love him until my children see it lol 😆 thank you
