Enjoyed making this. Good suggestion was made to vary the # of ch to have leaves spaced more randomly. I did that and I also used a progressively larger hook to make the “older” leaves larger than the new leaves.

For those asking about how to make the center hole of each leaf smaller…. Instead of grabbing front loop only when starting the new leaf, grab both front & back loop of the chain you start in (after you skip the 4ch). Much tighter look 😊 Love the pattern! So easy to understand. Also appreciated the person who recommended varying your chain count between leaves for a more natural look.

Made these but with a purple pot with black leaves, a little goth like. Came out so cute.

Really recommend modifying the number of chains when having to chain 16 for the stem so there's more variety to the placement of leaves! It makes it a ton more realistic. Great tutorial, thanks!

I wanted this to be mini, so I used size 10 crochet thread (Aunt Lydia's in the US) and a 1.50mm hook. Wanted some heft while hanging so I filled with lentils. Turned out great! Thank you!

To make the leaf: @ 16:52 is the time when you finish making the leaves. Make 3 vines with four leaves, 2 vines with five leaves and one vine with three leaves. 1) slip knot 2) chain 5 3) dc on 1st st 4)ch, dc on the same st x2 5)3 ch 6)dc on the same st 7) ch, dc on the same st x2 8 )4 ch 9) slst on same stitch (tighten) 10) 5 sc into the hole 11) 3 sc into the next 2 holes 12) 3 sc into the next hole 13) ch. slst on 2nd st (front loop only) together with the loop next to it @ 6:52 if u want a visual of what ur meant to do 14) 3 sc into the same hole 15) 3 sc into the next 2 holes 16) 5 sc into the last hole 17) slst into the center hole (tighten) 18) ch (tighten) 19) 16 ch 20) skip 4 st, and dc into 5th one from your hook 21) repeat steps from 4)

Really loving this pattern. Just wish it would have been written out in the description. I did type it out on my iPad so I could print so it is easier to follow along with the video. I just finished making mine! Thank you so much for the pattern. I made 3, 4, 5, and 6 leaves in each stem to make it more natural. I chained from 18-25 too coz I just read a comment about it. It turned out good! Thank you~

Just for my reference, here are the steps: Monstera □ Chain 5 □ Dc into first stitch, ch1 x 3 □ Ch3 □ Dc into 1st stitch, ch1 x 3 □ Ch4 □ Slipstitch into same spot □ 5SC on the hole □ 3SC into next 3 holes □ Chain 1 □ Slip stitch on second stitch, front stitch only with loop next to it □ 3 SC on same hole □ 3 SC on next 2 holes □ 5SC last hole □ Slip stitch on centre hole, tighten □ Chain 16 □ Count back 4 stitches in the chain, Dc into stitch □ Repeat one more time and then slip stitch into hole and tie off

just adding more onto this: complete till a total of 4-5 leaves then chain 5 and leave string to attach to pot

I just started learning how to crochet and I’m making this for my mom! I’m pretty happy with how it turned out though it may be a little big for her car lol, but I did loose stitching

Fantastic! I always find without narrative videos hard, but this was so simple.

THIS IS SO GOODDD!!! When I first started making this, it took me ages to finish the leaves because I am a beginner. Then after 2 days, I made all the leaves and then started to make the pot. My hands ached by the time I finished rounds 2-4 but I kept going. I finally finished right now at 11:14 pm on the 7th of July. I just love losing sleep to crochet. I can now sleep with a peaceful mind and with pride that I finished the hanging plant and it looks good. THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL

Pretty easy to do. I will suggest to just name however many stitches you need rather than to say “do one DC, do that 2X” it gets really confusing. But other than that, I loved this pattern!!

I want to finish this so bad right now but it’s so late and I got work😂 But so far this tutorial is so easy to follow im really enjoying it! Cant wait to finish it tmrw😊

Already used this pattern to make the plant and I’m using it now to make wall vines for my room :) great video very detailed could read the pattern perfectly

I hope you can make similar tutorials to this one, but showcasing the other leaf styles... i keep trying to qatxh other videos, but yours is the onpy one that makes sense since you go slow and undo the stiching in reverse then redo it again. It's so helpful not having to rewind the video!

I modified the hanger a bit for ease of use. Instead of inserting my needle through all four chain strands I tied a piece of yarn to the top of the inner smaller loop then wrapped in a circular fashion around all four strands. When i had enough rotations to my liking i went down through the top with my needle to secure it. Now it acts as an actual slip knot that can lengthen or tighten the ring to go around my rearview mirror in my car

@@leslietanael1376 the problem with chaining and then doing your center hole is that you physically cannot tightern the hole. its a chain. the first leaf made can be tightened because its on a slip knot. so I'm confused as to how you are tightening the other leaves after the first one

If you pull tighter on the yarn and create more tension I think this might help!

If you knew she made a mistake and you knew the correct term, why would you correct her? Seems very pick me to me. Everyone makes mistakes. Especially when doing hundreds of stitches in a day and then having to edit it. If you were trying to help others understand that part, there was a different way of wording it.

My pot has holes, the stitches aren't thight enough or something. I use a 2.5mm hook, it's my first time crocheting, so maybe I'm doing something wrong. But I don't know how to fix this and what I did wrong..

Hi there ❤. Could be the stitches or tension is not tight enough. Or maybe your yarn is too thin for your hook size. Any hook size will do as along as ot matches your yarn thickness 😊

Hi there! That is an indophil yarn at the local store here but you can also use any available you have. For same output size, just use same hook size and any yarn will do that match your hook :)
