I love the way the white pots worked out for you. Your table reminds me of a fresh flower market in the city. Great look! WTG!!

HAHA i love that
Hi! Not sure if this would work or be practical, BUT…🤭 have you thought of possibly crocheting some type of cover “cozie” thing for the vases? It may add that layer of protection if they fall, will cover small cracks, and it’s crochet. I don’t know, just a thought 😊 Edit: you made a good choice, it looked really clean, cohesive, and the flowers stood out nicely! ❤

Thank you so much!! I totally would but I just have no time :( but I think with these new ones they're super flexible and bouncy so theres no way they would break even if they fell from super high!
Your stall looked so cute! You inspired me to give crocheting flowers a try and I love it! It's not as finicky as I thought it would be and I really enjoy it! I find your videos very calming and really enjoy them :)

@@madewithapril Totally! Even finishing one piece of it is so satisfying :) I don't have the patience for making blankets, ha! I also find flowers to be very forgiving .. if I make a mistake in one piece it's usually not visible when everything is assembled! :D

I'm a big Fan I love your videos And I think flowers are super hard to crochet So that makes you super talented I crochet Stuffed animals

Thank you so much! It takes lots of practice - I'm still not good at making stuffed animals!!
OK I don't crochet but I DO do markets. Is THIS option possible?? When you make your flowers leave a portion of the stem WITHOUT yarn and then whatever vase/bucket/can you choose put SAND down in it as opposed to rocks. Then you can put the unfinished part of the stem down in the sand. Also sand is heavy so I feel like since we use sandbags to hold down our canopy it would work for your buckets as well. Then when someone purchases you take your wire cutters and chop off the unfinished part of the stem. When you purchase "fresh" flowers they would cut the ends off. Just a thought like I said I don't crochet so I'm clueless how you make your product. Good Luck What if you got a short CLEAR tubby and put that on your table with the buckets inside it on your booth just like you were thinking about transport.?? After watching your videos and seeing how the tablecloth weights don't do crap and I am in a VERY WINDY area!! ok let's rephrase that I am in a EXTREMELY WINDY area as there is no trees or tall buildings to block the wind AT ALL!! I was thinking about sewing a seam on the bottom of my tablecloths/table runner and making a pocket to fill with sand at the bottom to hold them down so they don't blow up. Kinda like a built in beanbag/sandbag along the whole bottom of the tablecloth/runner.
@madewithapril
10 ай бұрын
omg the sand idea is so fun - cutting off the ends makes them more like real flowers too!! The idea of transporting unsealed sand gives me a bit of anxiety tho ;; it's also super heavy!! I think if you could make them removable the beanbags/sandbags would work for the tablecloth but having it permanently attached makes it super annoying to put the table cloth on every time!! They also sell ones that attach to the bottom legs of your table but I just don't like the look of it hahaha
Your flowers are gorgeous.

Thank you!!
For bins that are too wide you can use a green plant foam. You can place weights under the foam and stick the stems into it to keep it still? I hope that made sense lol 8:44 😅
@madewithapril
10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately the foam ruins the tips of the stems over time :( Also they get really messy when people try to put them back into the bucket and then hit the foam and then stop trying to put them in all the way so they get all tippy :S
I've been seeing those baby figurines all over youtube it's crazy 😮 I'm not sure we can even get them in the uk

You could probably put some sand at the bottom of the container and cut a circle out of white plastic and glue it over the sand. It should hold it down.
@madewithapril
10 ай бұрын
I just hate using sand hahaha it spills and gets everywhere!! Even with the sandbags I use to keep my tent down, they're in sealed bags and somehow it's still EVERYWHERE
@oneofusiscrocheting

@@madewithapril or you could maybe use cement?
you could decoupage a container you like with tissue paper or whatever other design/color you want. Just an idea.

Also if your car gets too hot it will melt the hot glue and can cause problems for you. I live in Florida so we can’t leave anything in our cars

omg I never thought about that, I'm in Canada so even when I say it's super hot it's never actually THAT hot (ie Florida hot hahaha) I'll have to keep that in mind though, good point !!
Love 💕 your work! Just curious do you use cotton or acrylic yarn ?
@madewithapril
10 ай бұрын
I use a mix of both! Usually acrylic is cheaper tho so I try to use that more often if I can haha
I suggest magnets, put strong magnets in the bottom of the vase and also underneath your table cloth!
@sarahnoda
10 ай бұрын
ALSO, why not paint over the cute can that says "trash"? You could paint it and then add the word "Fleur" or "Fleurs"
@madewithapril
10 ай бұрын
Ahh I actually tried that once but the bump of the magnet (strong ones are usually kinda big) makes it more wobbly! I was kind of just too lazy to do anything with it hahaha maybe it if was white, but the beige/off-white color would have been hard to paint match! I like the Fleur idea though!
@sarahnoda
10 ай бұрын
@madewithapril I wouldn't waste time matching the color. You could either just paint that rectangle with a pretty pastel color, or alternatively spray paint the entire container with an off white, but 8 think painting the entire thing is more time consuming. I'd totally just tape off and paint the entire rectangle in different colors and then use a paint pen or stencils to write on each one.
Thanks so much for sharing your process! How much do you charge for your flowers?

I ended up using plastic since its cheapest and lightweight!
what type of floral stem do you use for your flowers? 🌼 i have tried 2 different kinds on amazon but the longer ones do not come with as thick wire/stem as the shorter ones. they tend to be very bendy and hard to travel with when i do markets. if you could link it i would be forever grateful, but i am not from canada so i wonder if they will be available for USA!
@madewithapril

Hii I use a different brand everytime I order because they never seem to stay in stock, at least on AmazonCA. I check that they are at least 30cm long, and minimum 16gauge thickness! Any skinnier ans they will be too weak!
