Crochet Magic Circle LEFT HAND | Magic Loop Alternative

Are you ripping your hair out over learning the crochet magic circle? In today's video, I’m going to share how to crochet a magic circle with your left hand.
Have you ever wondered, “Do I have to learn the magic circle?” While learning how to crochet a magic circle (aka magic loop or magic ring) is a great technique to learn, you DO NOT have to. I'm also going to share 2 magic circle alternatives so that you can continue to crochet in the round until you're able to master the magic ring.

Little life-saver is what you are!! Thank you!! I'm embarrassed how often I get my stuff mixed up just trying to watch a right-handed person and reversing the order of the ways the thread was on my left...Dx You and OP will be in the stories and, hopefully, gifts I pass on! Thank-you both!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I was almost to tears because I could not get it at first but YOUR method saved me! Now I’ve been crocheting since I was 8 years old but I was never taught the Magic Circle method. I’m 61 and have made cool sweaters, socks and countless other items in knit, crochet , Tunisian crochet and consider myself almost close to advanced so it’s great to learn to do something new. Thank you, DearHeart, for making this so incredibly easy. Namaste 🙏🏽

Dear 7lb 8oz sweet Baby Jesus, thank you SOOOOO much! I've watched many tutorials and it seems like I was always missing a step or I'd be able to do it once but then the next time it was a mystery how it worked. This is such a comprehensive video and even adding the alternatives too! You are a freaking gem!

So glad I found this! I'm left handed and was giving up on ever figuring out the magic circle. Thanks to this tutorial, I finished a couple small crochet pieces with a magic circle and I'm gaining more confidence! I still had to slow down the speed to 1/2 to work it out for myself, but that was really easy to do. Thank you again!

I have undone my circle several times but tried it again with your video and it worked! Thank you very much for your clear instructions and encouragement. I think I remember way back in 7th grade learning one of the other techniques you showed us but the first one will work for the pattern I'm doing. I'm making 42 squares for a blanket so I'll definitely get the hang of it by the time I'm done!. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

This is awesome, I’m left handed and my 3, right handed granddaughters, want to learn to crochet. They say it’s become popular again with the younger ppl (9, 14 & 17 yrs old) this will help me teach them. I taught myself when I was a teenager 50+ yrs ago 🤭with the aid of a small book by paton, which I still have ……. I just now found your channel….TY for sharing your talent - I will go to your channel now to discover what else you have for us to learn 🥰🤗

This is by far the best toturioul I have tried to follow. I just started to crochet, so everything is new and foreign, but I am going to learn and master this. Not today probably, but eventually. I choose to just continue practicing the magic circle because that is what I need to learn for my planned projects (down the road). I have gotten a little bit further by you taking is slowly, but even if I do it step by step exactly like you do, it just doesn't look like your circle in the end. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Tonight I will work nights shift with the person who inspired me to start learning though, so hopefully our patients sleep a little bit so I can get some personal help :) Thank you for this video though. I will come back and check out your other videos when I am a little bit better at this :)
