Hi, I have this pattern for 6 months. but there no this band. If you like to make band then make band first 4.00mm crochet 65 sts means you need 32 ribs approx. then next you can follow video 6-12 months. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pK5oq6aSpZveo7Q.html then make all togethr 5" and then start make ears. It is not so hard how this sounds :) You can ask me for help.

If I decrease my hook size to 3.5 and use a 3 for the brim with a size 3 yarn will this fit a toddler?

I do not know! you have to make band first and then you see fit or not. here I have 6-12 months 4.00mm hook you can try with 5.00mm hook. but this pattern no band kzread.info/dash/bejne/pK5oq6aSpZveo7Q.html

For the baby hat, you have to use this pattern that I sent and Double knit yarn #3 and 4.00mm hook (aran worsted weight yarn for adults only)

I just finished this pattern there have french now. The problem is to writing subtitles takes a very long time. 50 min video I have to spend 4h-5h. Because I working I can do only weekends and also just 1h in one day. This hat asked me Spanish people so you are lucky I have just done. :) Other videos I will do for you but this takes a long time. For all your videos takes months :) but I slowly doing.

Está bien, escribiré subtítulos, pero lleva mucho tiempo escribirlos. 1 hora de video toma 4-5 horas. Puedo escribir todos los días máximo de 1 h. Entonces, tienes que esperar hasta que haya terminado. Child size Head Circumference: 19 - 20" Hat Circumference: 18 - 19" Without hat stretching out I have 19" for a hatband for this adult size. You can use 3.50mm hook for the hatband and 4.5mm crochet hook for the top part then the hat in a natural way will be smaller. Make hatband first with a smaller hook and see how many inches you will get. If you have for example 17" and stretch out 18"-19" then all that will fit well.

I do not know about brakes, people say when stop video and start again often brakes, KZread doing up brakes automatically. 40% brakes own KZread, so if they want they put brake on any time. I think on the Xmas time more. So, sorry about this, but I can't help.
