In this video I will share everything I know about CROCHET GRANNY SQUARE:
- In-depth tutorial for Multi-color square AND Plain square

WRITTEN PATTERN
- Slip-knot, chain 4, slip-st in first chain.
- Rnd 1: Chain 2, slip-st in 2nd chain, bind off (chain 1, cut n pull).
- Rnd 2: Chain 2, 2 Dc in same corner, * chain 1, 3 Dc + chain 2 + 3 Dc in next chain 2 space (corner), repeat from * for 2 more times, chain 1, 3 Dc in last/first corner, chain 2, slip-st in 2nd chain, bind off.
- Rnd 3: Chain 2, 2 Dc in same corner, * chain 1, 3 Dc in chain1-space, chain 1, 3 Dc + chain 2 + 3 Dc in chain2-space, repeat from * until end of round, chain 1, 3 Dc in last corner, chain 2, slip-st in 2nd chain, bind off.
- Rnd 4 & so on: Chain 2, 2 Dc in same corner, * chain 1, 3 Dc in chain1-space, chain 1, ..., 3 Dc + chain 2 + 3 Dc in chain2-space, repeat from * until end of round, chain 1, 3 Dc in last corner, chain 2, slip-st in 2nd chain, bind off.

- Aran weight (No. 4) yarn with 4.0mm hook
OR Bulky weight (No. 5) yarn with 5.0mm hook

This is the very best tutorial that I have found for teaching beginners how to crochet a granny square. Perhaps the person who commented that there was too much talk, already knows how to crochet. Can I say for beginners like myself, every single instruction has been invaluable. There are plenty of good tutorials but so many are too fast and don’t contain enough instruction for beginners. So a huge thank you for explaining everything very clearly. This tutorial has been immensely helpful.
