Oh good! I have a stack of these squares ready to go for the next video part about putting them together! Mine are edged in thyme green. On my walmart pickups I like it when they substitute a more expensive item but still charge the original price. If I only need a couple things, I like to go in because if you go down a certain aisle, yarn will magically fall into my cart!

I'm working on the rectangle granny square blanket and another simple blanket. We received a warning for tomorrow also about heavy winds that might cause downed power lines here in San Antonio, Texas. I do the delivery when not up to going out and rarely substitute because I'm gluten free. I usually order from HEB here in Texas. Blessed day to you all. 🦜

Hi Kayla, l like to join my squares that way too. Talking about pickups are always a surprise . You never know what to expect. I am working on a blanket using my Christmas yarn.

I've done Walmart grocery pickup several times, I have an almost 3 year old, so especially last year it was easier to pick up groceries, but I've found a lot of times things they're out of are on the shelf. After a few wonky substitutions I usually just disable them. Now that we've moved to Iowa I find I need to get out of the house more so I do in person shopping once a week.

Enjoyed watching your technique. I’ve never stitched squares together. I do curb side pick up orders at Joann’s, Michael’s and Walgreens but the Walmart in my town is awful, I wouldn’t even try a grocery order there. Luckily my husband likes to grocery shop so that works for me!

In all my years of crocheting and making blankets, I've never done this border yet and cannot thank you enough Kayla for sharing with us!! I've had a stack of squares I've been slowly putting together this past year and have stalled out on putting them together because my usual borders are a lot more work. So this is going to be perfect because I really need something simple right now with all that's been going on :)

Great tutorial. It was 55 and windy here is Western Pennsylvania. I spent part of today organizing all my completed projects. Oh my, I need to donate some, I have accumulated too much. I used to get Walmart pickup but then they took away the option of NO SUBSTITUTIONS, so I stopped getting pickup. Their substitutions were wacky.

My Walmart is pretty good about substitutions. I get my groceries delivered . I used to do pickup, from Kroger. I miss actually shopping,1st but have to admit that I do enjoy having my groceries delivered to my door❤

Hi Kayla I’ve never done a pickup shopping order.I was making my granny square blanket the other night after work ,and all of a sudden I relized that I had missed the corner ,on the round before ,so I had to rip it out ,I laughed and thought of you putting the stitch marker in the corner.

I go to pick up at least once a week , the substitutions vary, some time it is ok sometimes not. The funniest substitution was I ordered a family size Lasagna and they tried to give me beef patties and gravy ( Salisbury steaks) I did not allow that one to happen as they were 3 dollars cheaper that the Lasagna and were trying to charge the same.

Hi Kayla. Thanks for your tutorial on joining your squares. I didn’t like your joining but maybe for sure I was doing it wrong. I love it the way you’re showing us. I have been sewing them together. I go in store to get my groceries. Yes I stop at the yarn area too. I was buying it but I realized I had too much accumulation of yarn and items I had finished. So no yarn for awhile. I just go there to see what’s new there. Love your blanket by the way.

Please show us how you put your blocks together! I used Walmart pickup quite a bit due to the pandemic. I'm now going in stores with a mask. I was generally happy with the substitutions.

I use Instacart. My daughter works there and says they shop from the stock room. I love Instacart they chat the whole time and ask if substitution is adequate .

i find if i do my shopping on sunday for a pick up monday most of my items are out of stock and they sub them but if i do it in the middle of the week they have all my items i like going in myself i like looking at my food before i buy it lol

I’ve never used Walmart for grocery pick up. I do use Kroger delivery and they text me if they can’t give me what I want or ask if I’d like this instead of that. Yes that and going to the doctor is the only time I get out. 😩. I put aside my shawl to make my sister a scarf because she’s going to Alaska next month . W hat about the Yoda blanket?

I occasionally deliver insta cart , the store usually picks what is substituted . I try to pick good substitutes but it’s hard when the customer doesn’t respond

I don’t do substitutions. I work for Walmart it’s because they don’t go back Andre heck if the item is there. The earlier you chose for pick up there more that may happen do to stocking. Also some places offer delivery, that may be a option for you. I love your squares, how many rounds did you do
