FOR THE BIG BRESTS! You can make upper part of the top separately: cast on loops and crochet the same pattern as I made, but it should fit your chest circumference and then join with slip stitches to the bottom part. Or, you can crochet the upper part the same way BUT 3 loops in one, not 2, then the top will be a little wider in the chest area :)

she said she used less than one skein and her skein was 100 grams and 350 meters, if yours is similar to hers, most likely sport weight, then you should be good with a similar amount. the amount she showed in the beginning is most likely what she had left over, you can see whe whole skein at around 5 minutes, when she starts the bust portion of the top. when wanting to make a larger or smaller top, like she said, you would add or subtract rows from the ribbing under the bust, or the bottom portion of the shirt. she said she was making hers around a small or medium

I had 150 g of yarn and ran out when i had 2 cm left to do upper part + straps and ornaments 😢 so 200 g should be enough

Unfortunately if you want to make clothes as a gift it usually can’t be a surprise because you have to make sure it fits! Maybe you could borrow a shirt from them to make sure the one you make is the same size. You’d also have to make sure the shirt you borrow and the one you want to make both have the same amount of stretch!

You can take cotton but choose with mixtures like acrylic or viscose then it will be more stretchy

​@@Twilight-Sparkle550 i think you're supposed to do it with the two ends of your ball of yarn. She cut the yarn when she was done with the lower part of the top and crocheted two pieces of yarn together for the upper part. But if you have another ball of yarn of the same color, you can use that (I find that much easier than finding the other end).

i think it would be adorable, but you might have to make the bust part longer so that it can connect to your shoulders in order to make sleeves

no tbh , i get your vision but connecting sleeves to the chest part won't look comfortable or spontaneous enough due to the design of the upper part of the chest , i think a separated cardigan with the same color of the top will look much better and u can use the two separate pieces however u like

When you say "should be equal to your chest circumference" does that mean when my chest circumference is 94 i should do 94 rows, or the bottom part should be 94 centimeters long? help me out i'm a beginner, this is my first crochet top

the bottom part is pretty stretchy but the top is a little stiffer !! i'm making it rn and i'd recommend doing a few extra rows for the bottom part (the sc blo). it initially fit me fine but it's kinda tight now that i'm doing sc for the top part 😭

Hiii I had the same problem, what helped was making the boob part of the top seperately so I could make it wide enough. Then just sow or crochet it on to the other part of the top :)

i think she uses the us term for the stitch names. single crochet in us term means double crochet in uk term and double crochet in us term means treble crochet in uk term
