Ambia. Great hobby but can be addictive and costly. Please don't buy expensive yarn to start with. I get my yarn from my local DIY shop charity chops and other yarn I get from Wish on line. I am recovering from hand surgery and can't wait to get back to knitting and crocheting and will be making some of these for my grandchildren in Canada. Good luck

@@TizianaAguadothe chain gets filled in and stretched out by the double crochets! To account for this I always pull my chain so it’s kinda stretched out around my head to measure.
It's my first project and I've undone it twice because I was doing something wrong. After following your tutorial I finally got it! You are very clear in the explanations, please make more videos like this one! ♥️
I made this one in a couple hours changing only a few things via my own preference. instead of 57 sts, I did 65 cuz mine are a little tighter than yours and I did 20 rows because I wanted a little extra length to double over my ears. I also went back to the opening and crocheted two rows of single crochets just to give it a clean look. I love that this pattern is simple and great for beginners. and for people like me who have a tad more experience in crochet I can add my own touches. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video!
Honestly, one of the best tutorials I have found. The way you did the slip stich was very clear, I finaly understand how to do it, thanks ✨️💜
Thank you so much for going over common mistakes people make. I had totally messed up my last cat beanie and couldn't figure out why, apparently I was double crocheting in the slip stitch. Thank you so much for taking the time to do such an in-depth tutorial. 💕

Don't you double crochet in the every slip stitch you make when you begin your chain, but not at the end. I'm so confused. I have tried to make a beanie several times now. And I keep messing up. 😔
@valm.6838
6 ай бұрын
@@jessiesoto8076 slip stitching and a stitch are two different things, yes double crochet into every stitch and once you reach the end of that row, slip stitch, then you chain 2 and repeat

i’ve always wanted to crochet. when i was younger, my granny would always crochet gorgeous blankets for me with sanrio charactars on them, dora charactars, bubble guppies charactars, etc. when i grew up, i still used the blankets. it inspired me to start crocheting. i got materials and tried to look up tutorials, but they were always too hard and ended up in a random, sloppy ball. i was frusturated and ended up giving up for a couple months. today i decided to try again with your tutorial, and it turned out AMAZING. thank you so much :) 💗
