This is a crochet tutorial in US terms for a pretty lacey border for your granny square blanket. I go through every step in detail so you can create a gorgeous and unique edge to your blanket masterpiece. I have called this border the "Autumn Leaves Border" and is what I used on my Granny Love Crochet Along Blanket. This border uses single crochet, double crochet, chains and slip stitches and you will already need to know this stitches before starting this tutorial.

Yay Thankyou for leaving this feedback and good luck with it 😊
What would we need to do differently if we have been doing a chain one between clusters?
Beautiful ❤

Hi there, my border isn’t come out flat? Like there are too many stitches. Any advice? Thanks in advance 🙂

This happened to some of my pattern testers because they were crocheting in between the V stitches on the final round instead of only in the ch1 spaces of the V stitches. Do you think you could have made the same mistake?

New crocheter here. I enjoy your channel so much. I’ve learned so much from you. Quick question. I noticed you’re not turning your work with each row. Won’t this make my square pattern a little wonky in the center?
@meemamakes
Жыл бұрын
I’m so glad you like my tutorials. I do turn on the granny square part but I didn’t for the border. A few rows like this won’t make any difference for the wonkiness overall and I just prefer the look. You could turn if you wanted to though. Hope this helps 🙂
Do all sides need to be an even number? Or just at one side?

@@kellybrentmoody9744 all sides or the stitch count maths won’t work out
Hi there, love this border! I'd like to use it on the project I'm working on but I've got one question: I have solid squares so they aren't in clusters. How would you apply the skip/chain pattern of the first row to that?
@meemamakes
6 ай бұрын
Count the point where the corners of the squares meet as one space between grannies. You may need to go up a hook size if it’s a little too stretched.
What would you recommend if I have an odd number of clusters?
@meemamakes
Жыл бұрын
I’d recommend doing one more round of clusters then start this border. You could try and just do rounds 3&4 of this border but I haven’t done this myself so I’m not sure if the maths works out right!! It would also be thinner and look different to this border.

Hi there, my border isn’t come out flat? Like there are too many stitches. Any advice? Thanks in advance 🙂
Hello Meena. I love this edging but am having a little problem with it. I printed the pattern from Ravelry which says it’s in UK terms, but the description on here says it’s in US terms. Looking at the video, it seems as if the printed pattern is correct, if step 3 of round 2 should read dc not tr, but please will you confirm it? Many thanks 😊

Hi this tutorial is in US terms but if you look on the downloads on ravelry there is a UK and US terms version. It sounds like you’ve printed the UK version not he US version. If you back to ravelry and scroll through all the pdf downloads, click the one that says US. I’m sorry for the confusion. Let me know if you manage to find it!!

I did, thank you. I like to work in UK terms when I can because I’m still not 100% efficient 😊
I’m confused, it says free written pattern but when I click on it, it says I have to pay? Help please

As this video was for a CAL from over a year ago the description is now out of date so I will update it with the new info so no one else runs into the same trouble you have. Previously there were some written materials released for free for the Crochet Along back in 2023 (which is what I linked to before). I then developed these into a "proper" PDF pattern but due to Ravelry's rules about duplicated patterns I was unable to keep the free version on Ravelry. The free materials are still available in the "files" section of my facebook group if you would prefer those over the paid pattern: facebook.com/groups/682512493564212 Let me know if I can be of anymore help.
The invisible join at the end cuts off :(

I didn't notice this before and I am surprised no one has picked up on that before! Thankyou for letting me know. Unfortunately I cannot edit the video once it has been uploaded and I don't keep the original footage from my tutorials as I don't have enough disk space. The bit that was missed was just securing the tail at the back and I show that in this tutorial: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZ-B2NONh5SqgbA.html I hope that helps but do let me know if you have anymore questions
