    For the nappy cover when I complete row6, row7 will be HTC 26 stitches, is that correct and if that is correct wouldn't I be on row26 in order to reach 16 stitches

  • @4seasonshandmade798

    @4seasonshandmade798

    3 жыл бұрын

    It's correct when you complete row 6, you should have 26 sc stitches (decreasing row), NOT htc26. Row 7, work htc26. Row 8, decreasing row again, you should have 24 sc stitches. You will reach 16 sts by the time you complete row 14. Please view the video @14.25 for instruction.

    @@mwilki1213 It's perfectly OK if you end up with a couple more stitches. Just follow the sequence: decrease when working on sc row, no decrease when working on htc. Hope it helps

    You could try using a smaller hook (3mm). I made these for my son when he was 4 months, I measured him and went from there. Also you could try to adjust the stitches based on the pattern.

    I don’t get the slip stitch for all stitches other side. You please explain?

  • @4seasonshandmade798

    @4seasonshandmade798

    3 жыл бұрын

    In stead of cut yarn and fasten off, skip stitches and insert new yarn....etc, I used slip stitch. Therefore, there is no slip stitches on the other side. Hope that makes sense.

    I measured my son when making these for him. For 0-3 months, hat circumference is about 40cm; nappy cover is 38cm for waist and 17cm for thigh. It’s estimate only, babies come in all shapes and sizes. You could Google for more information. Hope it helps
