It's like the energy drink to me. Song is so sad, telling about Croatian people that leave the Country without going back. But also gives a support,hope and strenght for them. ❤

The song talks about serious Croatian problem - emmigration and depopulation. There's more Croats living now in your countries, Australia or Ireland or the UK, than there are in Croatia. The song is dedicated to them as Baby Lasagna said - the people who left their homes and families to pursue happines abroad. The clothes (sleeves) are from Croatian traditional menswear, as well as the parts of choreography coming from Croatian folklore. Thank you for being kind and respectful in your commentary. The fact that this song WASN'T INTIALLY IN DORA'S SELECTION is crazy unbelievable. This is the Eurovision fairytale (not the alexander rybak one) where this came from literally nowhere it has captivated the Croatian audience and the eurofans and could blow the general public's mind come May. It's growing on me, I have to say. Even keeping the message out of my mind, the song by itself is kinda cool

Semi and final were his first times singing live. And he also danced while singing. He just recently started singing and he's insanely talented for a guy who did just recently start. He is gonna improve massively until Eurovision, I have no doubt about that. He also did say that they definitely will change some stuff for ESC. It's not everyone's cup of tea, there are different genres and we can't always have singers with god given voices performing love ballads. Also the puffed sleeves he did say that he might consider changing it because people are comparing him to Kaarija even though the puffy sleeves and rest of the clothes design is taken from Istrian culture. The song is about how young people in Croatia leave their country to look for a bette future in other countries. It definitely is from the similar genre to Kaarija, but that's not surprising since both of them have pretty much the same taste in music. But saying that he copies him is plainly wrong because he said himself that he didn't really watch Eurovision as much before and also that's like saying that any two pop songs are similar, it's just a same genre of music, that's why to someone who doesn't listen to that kind of music it might sound too similar, even though it's really not.

Through his stage presence, he is addressing a serious Croatian problem - emigration - but in his own unique way, incorporating elements like cows, meows, and screams into the lyrics and performance to make it an enjoyable song, as otherwise it could be too sad. He also blends tradition with a modern (crazy) society. 🙃 The performance is kinda mesmerizing and compels you to watch it repeatedly, and, of course, again and again. 🌀⚡🌀 Therefore, he is just one - woooow - dude! 🔥🔥🎵🎶🤘💪😎 Hopefully he will rim tim tagi win in MEOWmö 2024. 🏆 Meow from Croatia! 😺😻😽

This a cross between Dadi Freyr and Kaarija and then something all it's own. This is brilliant (I'm audhd so I didn't find that too much with the staging I thought it was awesome). This is so brilliant - so pleased it was the one that got through.

The song is about emigration. The young boy has to leave his place and he is sad and mad bcs of it. He cries for his cat.🧡🐾🐈🐈‍⬛

Incompetent jury of Croatian Radio & Television did not want Baby Lasagna at Dora at all. He entered the competition as a reserve, because someone else dropped out. The song is about young people leaving their home (immigrating to other countries; 400,000 in 10 years) in search of a better life, and anxiety it creates. Yet, the song is litehearted. It was written, and produced solely by Marko Purišić (Baby Lasagna) in his room in Umag, small town, Croatia. First time performing as a singer on a big stage, Marko did great; people of Croatia reacted and gave him the greatest margin of victory ever. With big stage and some improvements, it’s a definite contender. Eurovision song, here we come, Rim Tim Tagi Dim!
