The song is everything. Dedicated to all the people who had to leave their home in search for a better life. The sleeves are a part of Croatian traditional clothing. He's not a copy of Cha Cha Cha, the whole thing is different. Amazing song ! ❤🐱

The lyrics are talking about the guy who is leaving his village (he is ready, even sold his cow) to go and find a better life in a big city or even another country/continent. He is anxious about it and sad to leave his family (and especially his cat) but wants to have one last night of dance and fun with his friends. And by the way, it is not "My anxiety is sex" but "My anxiety attacks"

This song is incredible. I love how experimental this song is, I love the genres mash and how you can’t really call it a specific genre (it is a mix of 80s electronic/dance and traditional rock maybe even metal), the breakdown and structure is impeccable, I love his vocal tone especially in the verses, the progression of this song is just incredible, his vocals aren’t the best but I don’t think that is the point of the song but they do the job, the message is so good and relatable for many people (moving from the country to the city) that is deep and interesting as well, I love that Baby Lasagna is so quirky and Joe he is so unique, it is truly a testament to the quality of the song that he did everything in his bedroom without any help, he is such a unique artist, the performance is insane in the best way possible, the lighting and colours are great and I just think this song is so amazing. Nothing about the song I would’ve done differently but the vocals in the performance need to be cleaned up and the staging needs to be elevated for Malmo to really pop. If he does get that it’ll be an easy qualifier which he probably will because the semis are all televote and viewers will eat it up, it is the craziness they love (Kaarija was that kryptonite for them last year and yeah he 100% has influenced many contestants this year) so it’ll sail through to the final and it could even be a solid top 10 for them but you can’t bet on anything because this year is incredible. This song is incredible and it is a 9.5/10 for me. This but being in my personal top 5 just shows how much of a bloodbath this year is.

The song is about young people leaving their home (and immigrating to other countries; 400,000 in 10 years) in search of a better life, and anxiety it creates. Yet, the song is litehearted. It was written, and produced solely by Marko Purišić (Baby Lasagna) in his room in Umag, small town, Croatia. He writes songs & books too. First time performing as a singer on a big stage, Marko did great; people of Croatia reacted and gave him the greatest margin of victory ever. With big stage and some improvements, it’s a definite contender. Eurovision song, here we come, Rim Tim Tagi Dim!

I get the comparisons to Kaarija, but I actually find this song a heck of a lot more accessible than Cha Cha Cha. It's kind of a classic story in the U.S. Country boy moving to big city. And the sounds are very American to me too. I mean this in the best possible way, but I could see the audio of this coming from the rural parts of the U.S. easily (visuals not so much, except maybe for Amish country, and there only by someone declaring total rebellion against his family).

The narrative is people leaving their towns/ country for better life. He's hesitant and anxious about it but also has some hope for what's to come. Its actually our sad reality but put well together in a winning song! Also, the ethno elements like the dance, the sleeves and the doilies are native to his region Istria.

Before you conclude by heart, study a little folk tradition in Croatia, i.e. elements of folklore. The entire song is imbued with the folklore of Istria (part of Croatia) from the choreography, costume design... A pure combination of folklore and urban expression.
