I was a metalhead and VERY closed-minded, so I never gave stuff like this a chance back then. I'll always love metal, but I'm glad as hell I opened my mind up to bands like the CM.

When this album was played (I had the tape cassette back in the day), it was played from start to finish as loud as the speakers could handle. Best listened to with good friends and cold beers! NYHC and especially the 'Mags had a big influence on the direction of music from the classic metal heavy era (pre 1980s) into thrash metal era (late 1980s and early 1990s)! The Mags even toured with Megadeth and Motorhead! How cool would that show have been?! 🔥🎸🎼🤘

This album blew me away in 86. saw them 87 in markthalle hamburg with my friend killer. It was a mindblowin show. We never saw such energy on stage till then. And everytime i listen to it i must say its a bilbe! My favorite albums are peter a tttb. Mating sounfs of american frogs, skrewdriver hail the new dawn, age of quarrel and everything from killing joke and thin lizzy. Greez from hamburg. Oi
One of the best vids of the 80ies.
The realy best of ALL^^ Cro-Mags with John^^ love it^^
One of the best Cro-Mags song!
Oh god, I love this band!!!
this was the opening song for their show at soundwave :') GOOD TIMES, IT WAS SO GREAT!

Doug , i met you about 5 YEARS ago in the Gramercy Area.We talked about Religion and Karma// and then you told me what a thrill touring with Lemmy was.You were a cool guy.I am still Star struck that i got to share philosophies and beliefs.May you live Long and prosper.
First saw them back in 89 at the Christmas day on earth thrash festival in Leeds UK. Nuclear assault, Kreator, Megadeth, Virus, Overkill, Laaz Rocket, where also on the bill. Cro mags were fantastic, and the result of which saw myself buying the The Age of Quarrel the very next day on US import (Vinyl of course!) Costing over ten quid!!!! Worth every penny!!!
Ya, I have been going on a download spree. All the old New York thrash scene of the 80's...great stuff!

They should change the new band name to."No -Mags" Harley and Parris wrote the music! And they're not even in the band. Lots of drama, but all I.can say is John Joseph is a douche bag!

Chris Alfano You may for music wise, but probably not for how they got to this point. I guess what does not kill us makes us stronger.

My brother was in the Marines when he introduced me to this band
Legendary video. Cheers
Amazing!!
Great video, back in days
YEEEEEES! Cro-Mags' "Age of Quarrel" playes on the soundtrack of my youth as a skatepunk from the south Chicago 'burbs. I saw them circa 1988 or 1989??? at the famous Cubby Bear... I won't mention the acid here....
Yes ! Always
Greatest album!!!!!
@AdRock1035 Let's not forget about Murphy's Law, Nuclear Assault, Biohazard, BOLD, Prong, and Sick Of It All! I had all those on reel-to-reel casette tapes, too man hehe wow it sucks getting old but feels so heartwarming to recall all the good memories. Remember Infectious Grooves?
Bloody brilliant!
My dad is in this this video stage diving, love this time capsule

The best album ever made.
This album as a soundtrack to the Stallone movie "Cobra" is perfect
I love this video and this song, and all the age of Quarrel album, ...like one of my clasic underground music albums, but "im not a hardcore fan", i mean, i like just this album and this band in 1986; this band was very original, so much energy in the songs and a great precence on stage, but i think that afther this great classic album they were never be the same.
The best HARDCORE band EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miss this!
True Amazing song...
What a show!!
just gotta luv cro-mags!!!
Yeah, einer der Besten Old school NY Hardcore Bands. Goil. Black Flag, Bad brains, Minor Threat, Agnostic Front,Circle Jerks sind so Ziemlich die Besten NY Hardcorebands aus den Anfängen des Hardcore. Ich kann nur sagen: Our way, your life, my scene, the definition?! HARDCORE!!!
That frontflip was fucking beautiful. That fucking form
Bad brains started in d.c around 77' ,all the west coast punk bands came around 80',81.
gettin older I realize that this shit 's getting better every day. There was no band like cro mags and there never will be. It's not about musicianship (I play blues and jazz sometimes so I can compare) It's something else I can't describe...
