Y'know, I always thought people tended t'overlook his brilliance just because he took on a more supportive role, but - and if you'll excuse my lack of humility - t'my discerning eye he crossed the threshhold of mastery a very long time ago. When he plays the violin, he isn't merely skillful, he's genuinely moved by the music and his violin is imbued with that quality. The only way you can't be moved in turn, is if you have no empathy. It's a bit late, but thanks for the fun mate, glad you 'n' the lads let me enjoy it with you.

I was so happy when he released his “flirting fiddles” album. John is truly a national treasure of Ireland. 🇮🇪 🎻
