    It’s placed right next to my pen in my suit jacket. Looks much the same - blends right in…. Thanks for the torture test. The can cut and metal stabbing are especially tough. The bottom line: A knife in hand is better than your tactical one left home. Has a nice flip opening. Held up well/passed your test. Not intended as a combat knife, but a lot better than nothing.

    Heyyy you guys did the Knife! It definitely is an office type knife, it's very discreet and doesn't freak ppl out when they see it, crazy to see it didn't break during the test! And the James Bond reference is spot on

    I love mine. It slips nicely into a suit jacket, and it looks like a fancy pen. It's not a heavy-duty knife by any means, but it's a nice gentleman's folder.

    CRKT is the brand that got me into knives and looking back on the few that I owned, I never really cared for any of them. I never owned this bc I never understood the hype. Tip down only isn't my cup of tea and I hate how the thumb stud isn't as accessible as other knives. Now I pretty much strictly buy Civivi, its just a no brainer with the quality vs price point. Great test guys! You continue to he the best knife channel on KZread. Such a chill vibe on these videos.

    Thank you! yeah after carrying it, the tip down is driving me nuts and the thumb stud is still just as annoying

  • @GOxHAM
    @GOxHAM2 жыл бұрын

    It passed the tests pretty well. I'm surprised the liner passed the batoning. Tip stayed intact which is also surprising. Only issues I seen was the thumbstud and clip. Plus it developed play. However, was the play fixable, with a simple turn of the pivot screw? If it was, I wouldn't consider the play an issue.

  • @NewAgeTactical

    Lol. Good review guys. I’ve only recently added a CRKT to the collection. Sorry I passed over that one. The one i brought home was the CRKT 2.67 Pilar Large sheep’s foot design by J Voxnaes, satin finish steel handle. I’ll have to be honest. The dam thing feels and handles pretty good. How about a vid on that one? I thought i had a problem with the flipper but realized i was holding/squeezing the frame lock area. Duh. Corrected that and it’s smooth as butter. I like the shape and heft of the blade and grind. I’ve destroyed the edge 1/2 dozen times and a couple of light swipes on my ceramic rod followed by a few light passes on my home brewed strop blocks and it’s shaving again. But honestly I won’t torture one like you guys. Lol. How about putting that one thru the ringer. As always good job. Enjoying my sub.

    Obviously it’s a small “pocket “ type knife. I ordered one while on a trip cause I couldn’t bring a handgun and wasn’t supposed to bring a knife into the public buildings I had to go into, but had a few shady looking people here and there. That’s all I need it to cut, the shady people. Period. Self defense in a small hidden package.

    Good video. Never had this knife but this is pretty much what I expected. I'd say spend 10 dollars more and get the civivi exarch. D2 blade steel, better lock, reversible tip up carry. And it's still got the gentleman's knife profile if that's your thing.

    Big dude doesn’t know how to sharpen a blade. I actually came here to see if anyone would show how sharp they can get it. It’s a very tough knife to sharpen so I get it. I can get mine sliding almost the entire blade length through paper now. I agree that it’s not very useful for a knife though. Looks sweet and is fun to fidget with none the less (especially the flipper version that I have)

    I should learn how to sharpen an edge that can be sharpened in minutes on a regular stone to a razors edge though I’m getting better never use carbide unless your reprofiling The KME system isn’t cheap but not the most exspensive though it’s fairly idiot proof to getting a knife razor sharp no matter the steel a good set of water stones that u can buy for the KME system also not to cheap but work fantastic a little practice and u will never have a dull knife again.

    Here's my argument, if you were using this blade in a self defense situation then the amount of blade play could lead to snapping that blade in the most critical moment. I used to think these were cool blades but now I realize nobody gives a sh%t what it looks like when your life is on the line.
