Having both sticks at the same level is the big selling point for me! Getting one just for that reason.

​@@alz397 You need to think about it, do you spend more time on both sticks, or on left stick + buttons? I'll actually tell you the answer: on the Nitro Deck / Nitro Deck plus you have the 4 back buttons that can be A B X Y, so when using these controllers in the 'best way, your thumbs should be on the sticks basically 100% of the time

Shit, you must live next to the cracked facility in California. Mine shipped on Wednesday morning and fed ex says its not being delivered until next Thursday 😭. Looks like you the only person who’s received this, which is a bit shocking as the first nitro deck was fairly well received. Guess this version kind of snuck under the radar, not many people talking about it, or if they have they did months ago back when it was first unveiled on IGN.

Mine arrived this morning but I didn’t open the package yet bcoz I had to go to work. I can’t wait to get home & start playing with it. I ordered the transparent black. What I like about this new model is the easy eject function. I always struggle forcing the switch screen off with my tiny hands while pushing eject button up at the same time. Also I like that both analog sticks are on top now. It looks more comfortable. I also have the Emerald Green & Atomic Red Nitro Decks which I plan on keeping bcoz I love the colors.

I’m on the east coast and mine won’t show up till Thursday, it’s coming though bro hopefully it’s gonna be fully worth the wait.

Been playing with my own for a while now and I love the thing. I'm soooo glad I have it. It's going to serve me quite well!

Whoa they address the problem. This is better. They moved the stick up so if you're playing retrogames the R Stick doesn't get in the way of Y and B.

The Bluetooth functions is only for OTA firmware updates. As you would have to provide power to use it as a wireless controller, it’s not an ideal setup for that.

I got mine yesterday but my output port doesn't seem to work properly. The Switch changes to docked mode when both a power cable and an HDMI cable are plugged in, but there is no signal going out to the display. I contacted support but they can't do anything right now. They probably need time to figure out if it's hardware or firmware related. Either way, they won't have any extra in stock to send me as a replacement until quite a while after all pre-orders have been fulfilled so I think I'm just out of luck. Hopefully I'll hear back from support after the weekend.

does the nitro deck controller still work when it is docked and outputting to external display? or you must use an external controller/joycon?

What powerbank that is compatible for delivering dock mode? It seems only the original adapter that can give much amount of power.

This layout is great, and considering we have 6 remapable buttons, there really shouldn't ever be a reason to take your thumb off the analog sticks. I could see the Nitro Deck guys making something similar to the Steam Deck's layout, but it'll be waaaay to long (that's what she said) if they did that. So this works.

I am getting my deck tomorrow.

I dont know why they dont just do a steam deck button layout. Shifting my thumbs left to right is infinitely more comfortable than flexing them up and down.

I love my White Nitro Deck but I’ll probably sell it and use the funds towards this newer model.

Bought the original deck and it caused my hands to cramp then bought a steam deck and not looking back. I’m waiting for the switch 2 and the nitro deck 2 for it before jumping back to switch.

First impression for me was average. I do like the new layout but after buying the previous version which included a hard carry case only to get the soft one this time feels a lot less generous offering for the money.

The Nitro Deck is not what I thought it'd be but almost. Was excited for the Nitro Deck Plus. Ads were all over the place, however. After careful deliberation and research unfortunately it's STILL not what it's supposed to be🤦🏽. Oh well. Onto the Nitro Deck Plus Pro lol 😭🏳️‍🥺

I canceled my pre-order cuz they kept delaying it. I figure I just wait until whatever it was holding them back from getting shipped out and put in stock is done. I'll buy it then.

I just wish they had copied the WiiU gamepad for the ergonomics. The d pad and face buttons are too directly below the sticks which is uncomfortable BUT it gets away with it because of the rear buttons and the side kicks. It’s a really nice product. Works really well for shooters and Zelda. 😊

Now that Mobapad M6 HD joycon exist with everything this has but also with true HD rumble, NFC, gyro, HALL effect analogs, mechanical buttons, swappable d-pad with rocker, swappable gates with octagonal, 18 hr battery life, system wake, works as single joycon, and more... this has lost all appeal by comparison. And I was a day one adopter of NitroDeck. Unfortunately (for them) theres a company who is FINALLY giving us all features without cheaping out so this archaic rumble aint gonna fly anymore.

Does the HDMI out cord work with the original Nitro Deck or only this version?

Sorry but to keep my video content as organic and as original as possible, I try my best to do the opposite and not watch / read too much about the products I decide to review on the channel - reason being - you get an authentic unboxing experience from a direct consumer of this gear - I dont want to end up repeating stuff i've seen or read on other reviews, I feel its a more authentic review if I give you first hand feedback whilst I experience the product myself. Those button placements look awkward to use!! Also it should have had an internal battery for the Bluetooth...

The only thing I hate from the og model is L, R, ZL and ZR. They feel so cheap 😞

Naah nothing special here 😂..my switch oled is now part of my Cabinet Museum now that i have the Steam Oled 1tb & trust me Steam Oled is a game changing..

They’re both fine in different use case scenarios and I have fun using both of them. Just because you threw yours in a cabinet doesn’t mean it’s useless for other players, lol.
