Digit 2 with 5 and digit 4 with 5 do appear to have a solid chance of creating a scrawny lizard, though. 4583 has tail cosmetics, but not identical to the ones on the scrunglie. It lacks the distinct emaciated frame, too.

GOOD NEWS!! i believe that the IDs have been changed. I spawned a white lizard with the ID 3529, an realised it looked scrungly. I spawned in an orange with that ID and SCRUNGLY!

Glados sounding genuinely enraged when she didn't spawn the skrungly is amazing

lizard customizer breaks lizard IDs and prevents them from saving after a cycle, even if they survive EDIT: The lizard saving thing isn't caused by lizard customizer, it was caused by another mod called "Apex Up Your Spawns". When I disabled that mod, lizards would save after every cycle normally. Lizard Customizer still changes the lizard IDs, however, and I haven't found a way to fix that. It also modifies the appearances of vanilla lizards, giving them traits they wouldn't normally have, and gives certain lizard subspecies additional spikes and scales which overlap weirdly. To fix this, you have to manually go through every lizard and set the cosmetic chances to the vanilla ones, which can be found on the wiki, and set the "multiplier" to 1. EDIT 2: Apparently, certain vanilla lizards do have extra spikes. But with lizard customizer, it is impossible to give them the exact chances and traits that they have in the base game. For example, train lizards always have at least one row of spikes, but occasionally have two. With lizard customizer enabled, they have two rows of spikes which both have a 90% chance of existing. This leads to there occasionally being train lizards with no spikes at all, which doesn't happen in the base game ever. Also, after disabling lizard customizer, uninstalling the mod, verifying integrity of game files, and even reinstalling rain world, the lizard IDs are still permanently broken, and there is no way to ever get the original ones back. Lizard Customizer is horrible.

You know for some reason I never thought to just try unselecting player 1 from the arena... I'd always just delete them with mouse drag, same effect but far more convoluted lol. I am one of the ones who failed to acquire the scrungle (which by the way, thank you Batflight for trying to troubleshoot! At least we know the culprit now) but!!!! My ludicrous number of hours in this game has rewarded me with my own collection of scrungles, whose IDs have been verified to be vanilla and whom are collected here for your enjoyment! (listed as original species found) 3928 (Blue Lizard) 12295 (Green Lizard) 1962 (Pink Lizard) 6656 (White Lizard) 9293 (Yellow Lizard) 10429 (Red Lizard) And my personal favourite lizard I have ever found: 8186 (Cyan Lizard)

Idk why the way you grabbed that yellow when it dropped and realized it's not scrungly makes me want tonanimate it in a very cartoonish fashion so bad

Next video should be a minute of silence for our dear missing scrunglies.

What if they turned Scrungly Orange into a marketable plushie? What if the reason red and cyan are unscrungled is to use them for plushies too? SCRUNGLY MUST LIVE, IT CAN’T BE GONE 😭

SCRUNGLYS DO EXIST. I am on consle so I don’t know the IDs, but I have seen to EXTREMELY scrungly cyans in chimney before.

It happened to me, but I found the id with some experimenting, it is now 8147 with lizard customizer for the orange, but it can vary lizard to lizard

this can also happen with rainbow pups and pup colors, even if the ID is the same the color of the pup will shift.

rainbow pups mod takes already existing pups and improves the color palette to be more varied, it doesn't change anything else. the "natural" colors come back to normal when you disable the mod. think of it as splashing paint on a pup and then washing it off. in this case it seems like scrungly's ID was completely changed, either by a mod or by some game files update

IDs can change depending on version number, mods, and also reinstalling the game can change it, so if you altered the game in any of those ways that’s probably why it changed

Damn... but why would it only affect the Lizards though? I checked my saved IDs of both Scavengers and slugpups and their visual traits were identical.

i was playing in safari mode and i saw a yellow lizard that looked exactly the same as the scrungly just a saint version. i didnt know the id because it was probably changed. at least it still exists (i think).

The worst part is that i saw a blue scrungly on my surv play through but no ID mod to check it :[

i believe there is a way to get back a slightly altered scrungly, try using the IDs of other smaller lizard counterparts like the black or strawberry

ohhhh my god... getting the player character to not spawn was THAT EASY!? i had literally every other step i needed to try out the same experiments you run, just for fun for myself, but that was all i couoldnt figure out XD i feel a fool!!

Found a possible skrungly ID, it worked with a black lizard but idk if it works with others but it's 8550. I don't have lizard customizer so it should work

(about the questions in the comments) honestly, most of these questions asked at the end of the day are hiding in plain sight, whether if it on the mod page or if your just experimenting

Salutations, I have found a distinctly scrawny lizard bearing the ID 3505. It is not THE scrunglie you and maybe the comment section search for with such fervour, but perhaps we could spawn yellow lizards with stats (or an ID) similar to 3505?

did you have downpour enabled back then or maybe it was an older update version? just throwing some ideas out there that might be entirely useless or an answer

Yes downpour was enabled. I'm pretty sure Safari mode comes with the Downpour DLC but I could be wrong. But I know for a fact that when I really started uploading rain world related videos that downpour was installed.
