Good choices. Notorious is so good. I don't know that I rewatch Criterion as much. A lot of them are very artsy, dark, or require a lot of thought and while I'm into that, I have to admit that my frequent rewatchs are more often popcorn movies.

Thanks. Totally agree that Criterion films are often dark, artsy and do require some thought which I definitely need to be in the mood for. I'm watching lots of lighter entertainment these days including really loving the Universal Monsters channel on Roku TV, so many older films that I haven't seen.

@@CinemaDaveMedia Still, of my 2000+ movies, I have to assume (I don’t separate them) that well over 100 are Criterion and my standard to buy a movie is almost always something I think I’ll watch more than once. I will watch say a Kurosawa Criterion release maybe once every few years and that’s cool. For me, the value is often in the extras, making them like a film study as I’ve heard you say.

Haven't seen any of these besides The Breakfast Club. Intrigued by Klute, All that Heaven Allows, Targets, The Big Chill, Being There, and Down By Law. Will have to try to check some of them out. Thanks for sharing these recommendations.

I absolutely love Being There! Targets is great as well with how casual they portray the shooter. I would highly recommend The Red Shoes (1948). It is one of my all time favorite movies.

Absolutely love Criterion Collection and what they stand for with preservation of movies. So so SOOOOOO so much that would be lost to time if these boutique labels didn't provide these movies. I've been spread thin with different hobbies to put my money, let alone ALL these different boutique labels with o mny obscure, cult classics etc etc. However, I thankfully can get into the sale this year! Here are the ones I'm getting AND separately, ones I recommend! Ordered: Beasts of No Nation Deep Cover Triangle of Sadness Don't Look Now The Grand Budapest Ones I recommend: Beasts of No Nation Seven Samurai The Irishman Until the End or Time The Color of Pomegranates Naked Lunch House

I remember seeing Klute back when it first came out at the theatre! As I remember it was a great movie with good performances by Donald Sutherland & Jane Fonda! Not a fan of her politics, but she's a good actress!

I hate the way they always send me adverts about 50 percent off sales and every time I look it's more like 15 and never 50. They piss me off big time, great quality films in terms of picture and sound, but the extras usually are weak and they're massively overpriced.
