Crit'Air Sticker in France, Emission Sticker for cars from abroad

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Air quality certificate France for car rented abroad.
To drive in France, you need a clean air sticker or air quality certificate or emissions certificate for your vehicle to follow emission rules.
These stickers, called Crit'Air vignettes, show your vehicle's EURO standards.
Not having one can lead to a fine of up to €180. Cameras with a database connection will check your plate numbers.
If your rented car, from outside France, isn't in the Crit'Air DB, the police may fine you.
Here's how to avoid issues:
Visit official site from French Government
certificat-air.gouv.fr
Click "Vehicle registered abroad."
Fill in text from a registration certificate of your rented car, usually it is in the glove compartment.
Download a supporting document (photo of this registration certificate). Also, you can send them a photocopy of your car rental agreement.
Pay with your Visa or MasterCard, provide your email for the printed Crit'Air vignettes, and your plate will be in the DB after 12 hours.
Put the printed copy under your windshield.
A real Crit'Air sticker will arrive at your address later, but you won't face any problems without it during your trip to France.
