His dribbling was also very inefficient and relies too much on pace. Watch 35 year old Messi dribbling despite being a lot slower. Because he is more technical
Probably the most overlooked part of his game, is how he's able to be as quick with his feet and be that good of a dribbler at the height of 6'2. Historically, all the top dribblers have all been 6 foot and under, Zidane being the only exception at 6'1. Ronnie at 6'2, and with his build, has no business whatsoever moving like that...

If you look at the last 12 years; look at how many set pieces he has cleared, from corners or opposition’s freekick. I just don't see how people have doubt considering him the most complete player ever. Because, show me a better strong foot, weak foot, header. He's the most complete forward. Drops deep, Play-makes, makes EVERY kind of pass(the only player to do it that consistently throughout the years), Dribbles, Creates chances.(Definitely one of the greatest midfielders of the generation and one of the greatest ever playmakers. Drops even deeper and clears the ball many many times.(The only players who have more clearances than him in Real Madrid are Ramos, and Varane in the UCL, right he's up there top3 in defensive stats☠). Now put any other player against him, I'll bet they can't do half of what Ronaldo does.

Also he didnt played better than barca a period of 2009-2018 coz messi have a better team than ronaldo's madrid. Xavi and ineasta were the best ever attacking midfield duo in that time. Xavi have 4 playmaker award along with messi and ineasta have 2 if you compare them with madrid players (except ronaldo) they didn't have a single playmaker award. Even neymar and suarez were one of the best forward along with messi so can you compare neymar with any other madrid players(except ronaldo)💀. Messi has played with a better squad everywhere like barca, argentina and now in psg, you didnt see them yet? So i think you got the answer for that👍.

Every great dibbler even at the school, university and corporate match level, I have played at, is 5,7 or so and under. After 5,9 and above it gets tough (I know I was a better dribbler when I was under 5,9 in school and it got tough later (of course, opponents, maintaining the skill level and efforts are other factors) and the same is true for some of the other people I know. And, 6,1 and a half, it takes an insane amount of skill and balance on Ronaldo's part to do the things he did, although he reached that height, I think, 2-3 years into his pro career but even after that he did such things and that can be immensely credited to his skill and work.
