i think it's great to have that measurement to think your better then the GOAT. if you want to be the best and you have that mindset it's good for your internal growth. it's not foolish to judge Jimmy about this at some point there has to be someone in this era that thinks their better then Brady.

Brady wasn't "beat out" at Michigan, Henson threatened to go play baseball to keep the starting spot. Look at how many times Brady had to enter the game late to come from behind.

Henson started 1 game over Brady. The MSU game. Brady had to come in and almost brought them back. Henson got little playing time after that. Understand Drew Henson was the #1 recruit in 99. People act like he took a bunch of playing time away from Brady. Thats a joke. Tom was the starter other than 1 game. Lloyd Carr had to keep Henson happy seeing he was such a huge recruit. Bobby Bowden told Henson if he went to FSU he wouldnt recruit another QB for 2 years. The whole Brady-Henson deal is blown out of proportion. I was there. I saw it live. Tom went to Michigan 5 years (redshirted one year) he started 26 games. Beat OSU and Bama his last 2 games. Henson was in for 1 play in the Orange Bowl.. Drew Henson had he kept playing football would have been the #1 overall pick according to Mel Kuiper. Regardless Brady was the man

Your fanbase were practically NONEXISTENT from '03-'10 when Nolan and Mike Singletary were your coaches as Seattle was CONSISTENTLY making it to the postseason from '03-'07 with a Superbowl birth vs Pitt. Who cares about your 'dynasty' from '81-'94. How many Superbowl appearances has SF appeared in the 21st CENTURY and how many division titles???? 1 Superbowl appearance vs 3 division titles. 🙌👏👏👏👏

If he walked into work everyday saying “Well I won’t be as good as Tom but it’s okay cause he’s the GOAT” than he wouldn’t be where he is today. He has the exact mindset every good QB that played behind a great has had (Rodgers, Young).

I was a great pitcher in high school -- a knuckleball specialist. No one could hit that pitch off me. Four no-hitters, six 1-hitters, 10 Ks a game multiple times. Scouts coming to my games. But I did not have that "I'm the best" mentality -- I didn't even have the "I'm great" mentality. I always thought there was someone better than me somewhere -- that THAT'S the guy who should get the start, the contract, the career. Not me. I would have played pro baseball -- maybe even gone to the Show -- if I had had that mentality. Even then I knew it, but it's just not something you can manufacture. In the end I became a journalist. And from the very start, I DID have that mentality -- and still do -- when it comes to writing. I am a great writer. There's not a doubt in my mind. Which is probably the biggest reason why I've been successful at it. Carter is right. It's not just football. It's not just sports. It's anything. Talent, skill, know-how -- whatever you want to call it -- is of course necessary. But mentality -- the confidence that you're the best, or one of the best -- is the biggest difference between those who make it and those who don't.

I know a very successful studio musician (now a producer) who was nominated for multiple CMA musician of the year awards. I’m not a country fan, but if you’ve listened to country from the 80s and 90s you’ve probably heard his guitar on hundreds of songs. So... One day I was mowing his lawn. He comes outside to his basketball goal. He shoots a 3. Misses. So he steps back three steps. Misses again. He keeps walking further and further away. But he eventually sunk one from passed half-court length. Then he went inside like it wasn’t weird at all. This was just casual burning time. People in any field who are among the best at what they do are just wired that way. Highly competitive against not just others, but themselves. They demand absurd amounts from themselves. This is a GUITAR PLAYER acting like this about just a casual basketball shot. So yes, Cris is right. People who are the very best at what they do simply think differently from normal people. It’s an alien perspective, but it’s part why they are so great at what they do.

One of my highschool bullies works at Wal-Mart, while I'm out here running a crew, making more money. Please, tell me how that nobody is "more successful" than I am? Bullies always lose out, in the end - because they seldom figure out how to get and/or create things for themselves. They only know how to _take_ things from others, to cover for their own inadequacies, insecurities, incapability, et cetera and/or all of the above. Also, IT work (what "pansy nerds" tend to do) is one of the highest-grossing, low-end jobs on the market, right now. On top of that, I'm willing to bet that my "pansy nerd" brother-in-law, as well as my "pansy nerd" sister, could floor you, Kako Mohammed, in a one-on-one fight.
