Very nice version of this tune. You almost never see the accordion in bluegrass music. It sounds excellent, and there is no reason why the accordion can't participate more in this genre. Thank you very much!

Bill Monroe actually had accordion on some of his recordings. "Rocky Road Blues" is one example. :)

I play accordion, but I just got a banjo recently. Time for some cross contamination 😈

It's not heard much because the instruments used in blue grass were popular with the immigrants who lived in the Appalachian mountains, primarily English, Irish, and Scottish (fiddle, mandolin, guitar, spoons etc.), along with enslaved Africans (banjo) where as the accordion is French and heard a lot in French-creole music genres like zydeco

It also seems very over powering. The banjo is twangy, the mandolin is bright and chirpy, then the accordion is drony and squeaky... I'm still forming an opininon, but so far I can't hear one over the other unless they stand real far out of the way. And I love both. Maybe a concertina and banjo? Or a deeper, bassy banjo... something to distinguish the tones.
Why am I suddenly on a Riverboat???
Holy crap, what a fun rendition of Cripple Creek!! One of my dearest memories is playing Dueling Banjos with a feller who played the accordion, this really hits home for me =)
Great sound!!! So happy I viewed this clip guys and look forward to more 🎵❤️
I hope to hear this kind of music more often in Monterrey, mexico
Thanks guys.... now you got me going around the house playing my air accordion !!!!!
when the accordion plays lead reminds me of music that would play in the krusty krab! ❤
Sounded great, and like you're enjoying it. I'm playing fiddle, learning clawhammer banjo and thinking of picking up the button accordion, and you inspired me. Keep doing it!
You both sounded so good! 😁👍 Thank you for this! I'm getting into learning the accordion and wanted to know how it would sound in the bluegrass genre! Stay well and safe, and keep on playing! 🪗🪕

Good!! Where can I found songs with this two instruments?? some bands or something??
Yep, that confirms it...I'm not crazy for thinking of using an accordion or concertina in bluegrass!

Accordion (usually referred to as "squeezebox") has a long history in other folk traditions, usually closer to the coast for some reason (like Newfoundlander in Canada). Definitely no reason it couldn't fit in alongside the banjo and the fiddle!
very nice
very good
How do you even play that thing! Too many buttons! Seriously, very nice.
