Crinkle Texture on Sugar Cookies

Hello! Have you seen this sugar cookie texture trend? It is so popular, unique, and easy. Remember, immediately after flooding, crinkle your parchment paper and apply on cookie. Allow to dry for a minimum of 4 hours before removing parchment paper. We let them dry over night.Try it out and let us know below if you liked this new wrinkled look.

Hi we use Gold Highlighter Dust from Divine Specialties on Etsy.
Can you use bubble wrap. I have a certain design in mind and bubble wrap would be perfect

We’ve never used bubble wrap but it’s worth a try & see.
Love this technique! But I’ve tried to do it just as you show with parchment paper and 1 out of 5 cookies it works, the rest of them have the icing stuck to the paper, am I doing something wrong? I do let it dry overnight.

Just let it dry longer. Leave it overnight and peel off in morning. If it doesn’t come off easily then it still isn’t dry enough to remove paper.
How long do you leave the cookie dry before peeling the parchment paper off?

A minimum of 4 hours.
Can you use wax paper instead?

We’ve never tried it but it might work. Parchment paper is stronger so it works well but try wax paper and see if it works.
